Help me pick a RD dress to go with the shoes I already bought!!

So, I did things a little in reverse. I fell in love with some shoes, and now I need to find a dress to wear with them for our rehearsal dinner. Our RD is going to be more of a big barbeque for all of the out of town guests...and basically anyone else who wants to come!!

About a month ago there was a Delman sample sale, and I got these GORGEOUS shoes for $100!! I love the little ruffle on the front!! God, I'm going to miss NYC sample sales....

I've been eyeing this dress...do you think it goes with the shoes? I would like to wear an ivory or light-colored dress, if possible, but something super fun and cute since the shoes are so fun. I also want something that is a little less formal since it is going to be a barbeque at FI's parents house. Oh, and it will be at the beginning of August, so something summery is good too.

Thanks for any help you can give!!

but since it is going to be a bbq, you will be running around and stuff, you might want to find a dress with pockets...

this one is fun and have pockets, but i''m not sold on it either since it would do nothing for your figure and you might be over doing the ruffles...

I guess what i''m trying to say is you have a few months... we will help you find something
 
Hmm maybe the grey color? Although not sure how the light grey on the dress and the dark grey of the shoes would look together...
 
lol. I was thinking the same thing, but I figured if you wanted an ivory color, grey would be pushing it.
 
 
hahaha CR you are so cute! And you love prints!! haha I''m not sure if I''m a big multi-color print kinda girl. Also I need a dress with a little structure, my girls need a little more support than a babydoll dress provides. Bluefly is a great call though, I didn''t even think of them.

Why is it that I am always so drawn to the black dresses?? I just love black so much...!! maybe i should see if I can find that Nanette Lepore to try on.

You might want to check out the ABS by Allen Schwartz line. I absolutely love their dresses and they seem to be similar in style to the one''s you''ve posted. You can get an idea of the line on the website, but you''re better off checking it out at Neiman Marcus, etc or at their botique. There''s one in Greenvale, NY. The Nanette Lepore is adorable btw.

hahaha thanks gtn!! you are right....a good dress is really hard to find. the first anthropologie dress would go so perfectly with the shoes! but I think I might want something a little less casual? maybe i''ll stop by anthropologie on my way home...the last 2 links to anthropologie didnt work

OMG Steel, I LOVE that dress!! I was only looking in the sale section of Saks, so I missed that one. I might head to Saks tomorrow to try that beauty on!! It would go so perfectly with the shoes, wow its really perfect!
