hi

I have a question about palladium rings!
I have a palladium engagement ring, I've had it for 3 years. I was under the impression that palladium is a hard metal so unlikely to bend too much.

I was at work the other day and noticed my ring didn't feel right so had a look, it was completely squashed and I struggled to get it off. I know it didn't happen over time, as it was fine a few days before.
I hadn't done anything i would have thought would cause this (like slamming my hand in the door) and my wedding ring ( which is platinum) is fine . Very confused.

Have we been miss sold to.
I've included a photo of both of my rings.

Oh my goodness! I can't offer any advice, but I would be DEVASTATED if they were my rings! Something is definitely not right & they need checking out. To damage to that degree I'd expect to lose a couple of fingers!

This question is best placed in the Rocky Talky part of the forum because this one is to show off jewelry items. Questions related to diamonds and settings go in Rocky Talky. There are jewelers and appraisers who post in Rocky Talky, so you have a better chance to get an expert opinion there. You can message the administrator to move your thread.

We've seen this happen many times. It's usually when the ring is made of softer alloys, but I don't know much about palladium. Hopefully you can get this moved so a jeweler or appraiser can answer!

Thank you! I've posted on there now!
