I have been going through some tough family stuff recently and want a project I can do on my own to take my mind off things. I decided on taking good photos of my gemstones. I have a Nikon DSLR at home but no idea how to use it. I'm currently at my university dorm and need help figuring out how to fix the coloration of gemstones in pictures using my phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (if that helps). Is there any app that can give me true color? Any tips on lighting? I have an alex that looks almost tsavorite minty in real life but has a bluish green on my phone. Most stones don't give me too much of a problem but I can't get the color right on some. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
