hello all,

i''m getting married in a marisa dress (posted in the dress thread) and am on the hunt for jewelry. i''m not a super-traditional girl, and i''m getting married seaside, so i''m thinking something sllightly fun, rather than the standard pearls. my fiance is wearing a tan suit with an orange tie, and i was thinking citrine jewelry and gold sandals might be a fun combination. does anyone have any ideas of where to look for nice citrine earrings/necklaces?

Check out this designer http://www.angieonealdesigns.com/index.html. I had her make some custom earrings to match a necklace I got for Christmas.

And...I think I just figured out the secret to multiple pics in a post!

Seriously though, this woman was a pleasure to work with. She was very reasonably priced as well.

um...Hudson - share the photo secret!!!!!!!

Also, Ace, do you normally wear citrine? The reason I ask is b/c I wonder when you look back on your wedding pics 20-50 years later will you think "Citrine! What an unusual choice for me!". They are so beautiful - but have to suit the wearer...you know?

i don''t own any citrine, but i do quite like it. and i''m definitely a jewelry person - i wear lots, and i love to buy new stuff. so i was thinking it would be nice to expand my collection a little, too. but i''m definitely open to other suggestions! thanks...

Just from one thread to the other.

hijacked thread now released!

I''m also having a beachside wedding and my groom chose an orange tie for himself as well. I''m not wearing any jewelry (except a large brooch in my hair), but looked at TONS of jewelry for my MOH. I loved the look of citrine and thought it looked perfect for a fall, beachside wedding. I must have spent hours on ETSY and lots of other sites.

I also loved the look of green topaz, especially when paired with citrine. While at Cotsco of all places, I saw a beautiful 5 carat green topaz emerald cut ring with small citrine side stones set in gold and it looked perfect. I saw quite a bit of peridot jewelry as well, but the green was too strong.

I love the look of citrus or lemon topaz as well when paired with green topaz or citrine. Most of the lemon topaz I saw was paired with blue topaz, which was too summery (though beautiful) for the wedding. So long story short, I''d look at citrine, green topaz, citrus or lemon topaz and maybe even peridot. You can spend hours trying to figure out the perfect necklace, so if you have a good idea of what you want, it''s helpful!
