Needing help choosing a 12 diamond halo or a 14 diamond halo for a 9 x 7 oval sapphire ring. Opinions and photos please, so that I can compare the look of each. I can't seem to find any handshot photos. Thank you!

And is an oval 9x7 sapphire ring (with 2mm to
2.5 mm halo) too big for everyday wear on a size 6 finger?

If you have a specific idea on how you want your oval halo setting to be, perhaps check out and speak to Maytal Hannah. Maytal makes beautiful settings.

Here’s a picture of my oval sapphire in its old halo setting. The sapphire is 9x8x6 and I’m a ring size 6.5. I didn’t find it too big when it was in this setting. I hope this photo helps! 002DCE57-F164-42FB-928C-2A4C1EA47EBC.jpeg

The sapphire is bigger and not sure what the halo mm is but just to give an idea of the halo look.

I don’t think it’s too big but I’m used to huge rings.

Maybe you can browse this thread as well:

It's tiny for me!!! But it's my ring that I wear on the "rummaging" hand.

Is this for you or a gift?

I can’t help you with the specific photos you are looking for (maybe start scrolling thru a database like 1st dibs?)

but I do have this that’s in the ballpark

center on mine is 10x7 and cluster stones are 2.5- ring size 6.5

Although it will depend (imo) on the construction of the ring‘s prongs/height/ tilt when talking about ease/comfort for daily wear. Then there is what one does on a typical day, ones personality, and the circles they run in to consider as well.

That is so helpful. Love that ring, the 12 stones compliment it perfectly. "rummaging hand" LOL
