And some tanzanite is that color, but very brittle for a ring.I would prefer sapphire, I will do a spinel as well, no amethyst.

gorgeous color, but I am looking for 9+mm, preferable 10mm. Thank you!Maybe message and see if this one is still available? http://diamondbistro.com/category/2...nder-Purple-Sapphire,-untreated-unheated.html
Honestly, I'd contact OTL and ask if she'd consider parting with any of her lilac/violet/lavender spinels. I know she has several, including one over 4cts. Worth an email! Here's her Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CDGEMSTONE/items
This is a great color, the only thing that makes me think twice is the cut of "octagonal" but that color is soooo perfectThis spinel looks very nice. The seller has no negative feedback on Toolhaus and is based in LA. They have been selling on ebay since 2013. Might be worth asking for a video.

I am guessing this is a rarer color? precision cut?Yes some of the rarer coloured spinels are that much throw in precision cutting costs, but it depends on the size and colour of the stone.

Thank you, I have reached outIt was in his gem scoop, but email him and see if its still available. Jeff is very fast to respond and his cutting is amazing!
the spinel LisaRN posted is absolutely perfect, I didn't want to pay the price but I would have but it has the inclusion to the naked eye. I am purchasing the Jeff White stone, but still looking at other stones. If anyone sees any (coloring like LisaRN posted) please continue to post that is my dream color. i will post the Jeff White stone when it arrives (thank you violetphoenix) Thank you all for the contributions!!!!
very pretty but i am only interested in purples, no blue, or grey in there. flashes of pink are okI adore the color in this GemFix violet-blue sapphire as shown in the video (make sure to adjust the setting so the video is in HD) ... swoon ... unheated with GIA cert ... if you like the video, maybe worth checking out in person?

I did, and they updated the listing. they say it has visible inclusions. Although that color is gorgeous and the cut I would be nervous about visible inclusionsDid you query the vendor about visible inclusions? I ask because its listed as "eye clean."

thank you, it truly is my dream color. I love the original stone color and the Jeff white I just purchased, but nothing wrong with a girl having different hues of purple stonesAbsolutely! Good call on your part. I hope that was an unintentional mistake on the part of the vendor.
Do you feel that stone at 9mm is worth 7k? I just seem to not have the eye. I just look at colors but obviously need to look closer b/c I didn't see that until you pointed it out. Thank youThats a beautiful color! It seems to go light around the edges, but i'm still new enough that i'm not sure if thats normal or not.
