I only have one pair of ballet flats, in black, and they''re all worn out now. I wore them so much, they were really comfy and cute. They were Arturo Chiang.

Freke-It was around 5 months ago, so I don''t know if I''ll ever find them on sale again.

kt-I love handbags as well! For some reason I went on a Coach spree and got 4 bags in a span of like 3 months (though 2 of them were the result of my BF getting me a Coach giftcard for Christmas, and I just paid the remainder).

I''ll definitely do some research on wedding costs there! Hehe!

Bar across from the school... hmm... Hobnobbin Pub? Or Shenanigans? That place has changed names so many times, I don''t even know what it is these days! haha. But I believe that''s the location you''re talking about.

I live in Wappingers Falls, about 25 min south of Hyde Park. If you''ve been to the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall, it''s like 5 min south of that, if that.

Ah, Rhinebeck! I absolutely LOVE the village. BF and I were actually talking about which village we''d love to live in if we stay in this area and that is our top choice! I just love everything about it!!

Ohhh, BF and I spent a romantic weekend at a B&B in Milton,NY last spring. We went to Rhinebeck and I think Wappinger''s Falls too!! It'' absolutely gorgeous up in that area. We visited FDR''s house and had lunch at one of the CIA restaurants... Plus, we got to go to Woodbury Common on the way up AND back home.

Good times.

I'm just going to say that this thread makes me happy. In all of it's random shoeness.

SJG- I just got done taking a pic of my ballet flats. I really don't wear too much red or any warm colors, but that doesn't mean that I'm not constantly on the lookout for cute ones! Where are those pics?
31.gif

ktdid- My mammoths are blue with white fleece. And in the summer I live in my Crocs flip flops. They're addictive.

Bubbly- it was Hobnobbin when I was there. That place was pretty...interesting...But I love
30.gif
the area. I love the houses in Rhinebeck and the whole area is just gorgeous...but I still love our New Mexico sunsets and our mountains. I've been to the Galleria too many times. I loved DSW, but we don't have them here.
15.gif

Star- Don't give up hope! And feel free to post pics of your handbags!!!

smurfy- What kind of job do you have? I would love to wear sneakers all day long at work! What color flip flops did you get? I went to Old Navy today but only got a shirt. I live in those flip flops and my Crocs flip flops.

TheBigT- Which restaurant did you eat at? I just love the whole region, everything is so GREEN. I loved it. And there is so much fresh produce to work with...

BTW- I posted a pic of my ballet flats. I didn't know I had that many. And I have another one, but they aren't really flats, so they aren't in the pic.

Update:

Whatever it was that was coming from UPS was delivered.

To him.

When I wasn''t around.

I can''t think of when this could have been for the life of me. I am always here when he is. The only thing I can think of is that he could have had it delivered to either school or his office.

I am so tempted to snoop, but I hate to ruin surprises. And he knows me well enough to keep stuff away from the condo, because, lets face it, there isn''t much room to hide stuff around here.
31.gif

He did tell me that whatever it was, it was NOT wedding stuff. Or pricescope stuff. WTH? I''m so lost...

That sounds really exciting, I hope you figure out what it is soon!

Maybe it''s some fab new shoes for you?

Well, my bf went on a "secret mission" the weekend before Valentine''s to get my gift. We had been looking at diamond earrings, so I was hoping for those (or an e-ring of course), but nope....a tennis racket and pjs. Yup, that''s right a tennis racket....and I haven''t played tennis in 5 years.

So here''s to hoping no "tennis racket" for you. Surprises are always fun though. :)

OK, that's adorable. It reminds me of the time my BF was going on and on and on about how he got me an awesome surprise and I was going to love it so much. He kept talking about it and how great it was and how much he thought I'd love it, so I thought it was going to be jewelry or shoes or a handbag or something similar.

Nope.

It was the game Mousetrap.

Star! I'd love Mousetrap! I remember I would play it with my cousin's set, and his was broken and I was too young to read the rules, so I really don't know what I was doing. But I can totally see how you'd be disappointed. And I don't think it's shoes. Unfortunately.
7.gif

CMEC- I have a tennis racket and he knows NOTHING about the sport so I hope that's not it. Although he needs a tennis racket...hmmmmm...And I really don't need anymore pjs. I actually need to get rid of pjs.

I'm pretty vocal about what I want. The only things I've been talking about lately are shoes (but not any specific ones), the Tiffany ring, a sapphire for my e-ring and a spinel... But he pays close attention and remembers stuff, so it could be anything from the past 2 years. My birthday is in April and our 2 year anniversary is in May, so he's got plenty of occasions that he could be buying for...

I don't know. But I kind of like being in the dark.

Don''t get me wrong, I love Mousetrap too, it just wasn''t what I was expecting or what he''d built it up to be. Oh well.

My birthday is in April..

Cool, when in April? Mine is the 4th.

Poor guy. Did he figure out that you thought it was something...not grade school...and more feminine?

Mine is the 22nd. Exactly two months from today. I''ll be 26. When I was younger I always thought 25 sounded old. Blah!

I think there are about 42ish days til yours!

Yeah, he figured it out. Then I think he felt really bad, and said he was going to try not to build things up so much in the future. LOL!

Any new clues or hints as to what it might be?

No. And I asked him what was going on, and he told me that I''d never know and that I''d never find out.

On Saturday he took me out to dinner and to a movie. Beforehand he surprised me with an Edible Arrangement and I asked if that was what was supposed to be delivered (just fishing around because I knew he had to go pick it up from the store) because he had ordered it from the internet, and he started smiling and told me he''d never tell me. So basically, I have no idea what he''s up to.

In other news, our date was awesome. We decided that he would pick the restaurant and I would pick the movie. Well he picked a restaurant that he told me he''d never take me to about 2 weeks ago. And we happened to get the table that was right in front of the fireplace, which was super nice. And then I chose to go see "Definitely, Maybe" which we both liked. But he shocked me with the fruit, I even started crying.
38.gif

He doesn''t do the flower thing because they die so fast, and we both get to eat the fruit.
9.gif
Plus, chocolate covered strawberries are amazing.

Ooo...I forgot to mention that I went a snooping just a tiny bit because we''re getting new windows in the condo and his nightstand is right in front of the window and I wanted to get some stuff that was on it out of the way. But I didn''t find anything.
39.gif

i cashier at a grocery store lol, its not as fabulous as it sounds
unfortunately im still job hunting

Still...Do you guys get a discount? And what kind of job are you looking for?

Hi Freke,
35.gif

Nice seeing the shoes on this thread!

Hmm I wonder too what your SO is up to. But I guess all in good time?

And I like this pattern: I''ll never take you here... but yet here we are! haha. Maybe his never means more like: don''t think about it! don''t expect it! Ok... NOW!

Cute.

Update: Sooo...A medium sized blue envelope showed up in the mail today. BF wouldn't let me see it. Said that if I look at it, it will ruin my birthday present. It was kind of a darker Robin's Egg Blue color.

WHAT COMPANY HAS ROBIN'S EGG BLUE AS ITS SIGNATURE?!

Only one I can think of.

If it''s the tsavorite ring will you nonetheless post hand shots and pictures of it perched on flowers and on a book and on the heel of a stiletto pump and...?

puhlease?

YES! Totally. What color of heel? And he won''t give it to me until my birthday--which is when I''ll get my present from my parents-a new digital camera-WOHOO!!!

Um, duh, green heels?! Or something that will pick up the color of tsavorite well. Bluish green?
9.gif

When''s the actual birthday?

April 22nd.

I have 3 pairs of green heels. Two bright green green and another that has a hint of yellow. Perhaps I''ll try all three!

Hi FrekeChild,

I just wanted to tell you how impressed I was with how dedicated you were to finding that pair of Anne Klein shoes! That''s amazing! And they are absolutely adorable. You''ve got quite the shoe collection too. I love every single pair. I''m jealous!! :)

Thanks v!v!. I''m a Taurus and exceptionally stubborn. I was bound and determined to find those shoes! And I''m so glad I did. They are my favorites-probably because I spent so many hours just trying to find them. I''ve never worked that hard for any other pair, so they really stand out against the other ones.

Have you checked out the "Shoes..." thread in the Shopping Thread? Everyone has been gathering over there and posting pics of shoes, and I think it''s pretty awesome to go check out. Christian Louboutins and Manolos and stuff that I won''t be able to afford for a good long time. But it''s lovely to drool over!

You''re welcome! If I had those shoes, I think they''d be my favorite pair too!

Thanks for letting me know about the shoe thread...I''m off to drool at more shoes. hehe... :)

FREKECHILD - I ruin surprises too.. but if you can help it don''t snoop, at least for this! I know if I was you, I would want to be surprised when I get my proposal! A friend of mine snooped and she found a ring and was dissapointed that she looked...and wished she hadn''t.
emwink.gif

I am always tempted to snoop. It''s just in my personality. However, It''s only 2 weeks. I can do two weeks. Now when it gets to be more like 2 days...ask me again.

I would be so upset if I ruined the proposal by seeing the ring. I would not be able to forgive myself.

So no worries!

No worries, I shall distract you with a combination cupcake/shoe distractor! Combining two of your favourite things will have you at my mercy and away from hidden packages! Bwahahah!
11.gif

Hahahaha!!!I appreciate it Gwen!! Perhaps I should try to distract myself with schoolwork...

Ooh a shoe-shaped cupcake!!!
18.gif

LOL I''m such a snoop too. Chris knows not to hide anything in our house. Because I will find it. Even if I don''t know it''s there. Hee!
