We''re have two officiants; my fiance''s brother in law who is a minister and the Cantor from my synagogue (former). How much do I pay the Cantor? What''s the going rate these days? $200 is what I was thinking. Any clues????
Thanks

If he doesn''t have a set price and works on "donation," I think $200 is very generous. My officiant is charging $300 YIKES! I know mine is pricey, but I wanted to use the same guy my brother used for sentimental reasons.

He charges $200- but our location was a bit of a drive, and he met with us first to personalize our ceremony, so we paid him $250. The ceremony turned out to be so great though I wish I had the money to pay him $350!

Ours charged $250, her price has gone up with the competition. She''s now at $300 I think.

our is $250 donation to the church.

Wow... i guess we got a deal. $150 donation to the church because i am a member.

*gulp*

then, uh... we won''t talk about how much my officiant cost! Private location not associated with her synagogue... But this woman is absolutely wonderful and *I* think she''s worth the price.

Oh my...I am with Rfath...we paid quite a bit more than that...and he was well worth it, but I wish I knew that most people paid $100-$300, gulp!!!

I went with one of those interfaith ministers and found mine via craigslist and referrals. Some of those people were charging upwards of $1000!!!!!! Maybe I should get into that as a side thing

. Anyway, I went with the cheapest, which was around $250 or $300, I can''t remember which.
