Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself....
I originally joined this site back in 2006 when I was in a dying 6-year relationship. I think I was desperate for hope. Fast-forward through the train-wreck, recovery, etc. to 8 months ago when I met the love of my life. Our relationship is effortless. I regularly think "oh, THIS is how it''s supposed to be!".
We''ve been talking about getting engaged for a few months now. He''s been talking about making a trip to see my parents to ask for my hand (something important to them, not me).
We''ve decided on a ring, I''ll try to attach pics *fingers crossed*, but I don''t want a diamond. I''m leaning towards morganite instead. As far as when to expect it...he''s said it won''t be on any holiday or day of significance (xmas, new years, v-day, b-day, etc.) so I guess it will be a complete surprise. I''m trying not to think about it too much because I get literally paralyzed with excitement; can''t work or sleep. The important part is that it''s on its way!
