HI I am new and i am intrested in learning how to read diamonds the way most of you can. I am a male who is looking for the perfect ring for that one perfect girl. Shes Short and has small hands so anything is gonna look huge on her. She likes the ICY look. any suggestions will be considered. I think she deserves the very best i can give her and, i want the best for my money. Not to be ripped by fakers and stuff. Thanks for viewing this and any advice you got.

Yay, we have another "guy in waiting"! What shape of diamond does she want? Have you 2 ring-shopped together or is it going to be a total surprise? You'll get a lot of good info in the Rocky Talky forum, but I know all the ladies here'd be interested in knowing what you have planned...

well she would like a princess i believe. i mean icy in a sparkly way. we have been shoping together but only to look. she has practically no idea that the ring is being planed out by me starting as of monday this past week. I want to get some sugguestions on how some of you were proposed to also.

As Julie pointed out, your first stop should be to read up on the tutorials. There's a ton of info there, and you'll learn a lot about diamonds, and how to select a beautiful stone.

Also, PLEASE make sure that your GF is a princess gal. You want to make sure that you're getting her what she wants! Each "cut" has it's own special characteristics that make it unique.

Well Thank you for that information about the tutorials i think those will help a whole lot. I sorta need some advice about how to decide on if she is a princess girl or not with out really askin her to try on a ring cuz that will just give it a way and i dont really want her to know what shes getting yet. she has a clue but yet has no clue if you know what i mean. If you have any advice on how to make her oblivious to the fact that i am trying to figure out which diamond looks the best for her, I will be amazed at your suggestions. Thank you again.
