i've been lurking for about 2 years now, and could have been a part of this liw group the whole time. i don't have as much time for boards as i'd like, so please bear with me. it's just that i think my time is coming soon... finally.

we picked out my stone & setting two augusts ago at gog, jon was amazing and from what i remember...so is the stone. i knew he ordered it since i was in email contact with jon & marie to put my personal touches on my future ering. i even visited the store a second time to finalize the details in person (i live in ohio now, but from the island originally). i also noticed the envelope in the mail from jewelers mutual which totally confirmed he had it. that's the thing, i haven't even seen a photo of the finished product let alone the actual ering and it's been well over a year already=( i hope my finger's still the same size...i hope i still love it.

so now things are finally starting to fall into place for us. i'm settled at my job, he's at the start of the second week at his new job (his first white collar office job & he'll have his accounting degree in 2 more months). yup, things are looking up here.

so now i'm getting a bit nervous wondering when the moment will actually come, how he will propose, or if i'll be surprised...i can't stop thinking about it. so here i am, it's so nice to be here and so great to be able to share this with all you ladies.

Thanks Dani! That''s my big waggy baby Amber-she''s a golden retriever (she definitely looks like a lab in that photo-I''ll try and root out a better one of her!)

Wait, he''s had the ring for over a year?! Wow...have you brought it up at all in the past year and 3 months? I''d certainly be asking some questions if I hadn''t been proposed to over a year after he got the ring! Why do you think he''s taking so long?

wow bee, she''s definitely not a lab... she''s a BEAUTIFUL golden!! thanks for sharing that pic, i''ll try to post one of mine on here too.

thing2of2 -sorry, i should have mentioned this previously. his "deadline" to propose was actually dec 31, 2006 and that didn''t happen for a few reasons. i got really depressed and stayed that way for quite some time. i wasn''t in the right frame of mind for much of anything, let alone a proposal. he was amazing thru it all, totally understanding & helpful and probably worried sick about me. i don''t blame him for not doing it then, it was the right decision.

he''s been doing school full time along with work, and he''s just been super busy. he graduates this december though, so i know it''s coming soon. he told my best friend the plan, which i told her to keep from me since i want to be surprised. he also told her he''s just been way too busy this past year and wants to enjoy our time as newly engaged too. which makes total sense and i love him even more for that. so here i am left wondering when & how i''ll get my ering...

Oh okay, that makes a lot more sense, then! Glad you''re feeling better...and I hope he does it soon, too! You deserve it after waiting patiently for so long! And I''m very impressed you told your best friend to keep the secret from you...I''d be interrogating her!
