hahaha Fisher that''s funny (about wondering about the stores!)...

We really do have a beatiful world out there and some of us want to enjoy it and see it all!!!...Others don''t care so much (like my sister...hahaha)...I mean...obviosuly she loves a nice scenery as much as the next gal...but her idea of a vacation includes full pampering, not moving much (other than to turn around so you get an even tan) and a cute guy that brings her the Pina Coladas!!
26.gif
hahaha

Well, my AC was fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the guy kept trying to hit on me...but I used that to my advantage to get a little discount...hehehe. He has to come back tomorrow to change a few more things....but the place feels cooler already!!! yay!!!!!!!!

haha Mandarine, I have always wished I had the flirting power to get *good deals* on things, but I don''t. You must be very confident, or completely beautiful. Or both!

I''m glad you''re not hot anymore. I tend to stay cold. The kids I work with tease me for wearing a jacket in the summer time, more often than not.

How close are you to being engaged?

Am I allowed in any of your threads? I''m really going nuts not being able to read any of you nice girls'' threads... I want to be involved, so maybe I won''t focus too much on my stuff I''m not supposed to be concerned about!

The introduction thread only made me want to know more about the cuteness stories I read...

well....we are suppossed to get engaged this year, and married in 2007. So I''m trying to convince myself that this year means he has until Dec 31st 11:59pm to do it!!. It''s hard, but I can''t dwell on the waiting every single day!!!!

You are definitely allowed in my posts. I actually have a long (and painful) thread about the FMIL/MILs that I would love to get your opinion on since I know you have a good heart and will probably offer some good advice on how I can best handle that situation. Like I said, the thread is long and painful...so don''t feel obligated to go visit it! hahahaha

I also had my first initial post introducing myself before I had *the* conversation with my BF. I was feeling very anxious and after talking to him and getting his 2006/2007 timeline I started to relax a little. That''s not to say I don''t go crazy sometimes just like we all do!!!!

I just talked to Paul. He sounded sort of sad, down. Had a hard day at work with the kids. End of the year is always kind of intense. They want out, the classroom gets hot and stuffy, no one wants to study or learn anything else. All that fun stuff.

Anyway, he sounded sort *arghy* himself, so that makes me think he didn''t call whiteflash today. If he had, he''d be on a rush about that, instead of grumpy over a rough day at work. Darn!

Can you link me to your thread, Mandarine?

I don''t know how to link

((

sorry to hear about Paul...but see? you don''t want to now bring up something to stress him more
37.gif

If you type MIL/FMIL in the search box it is the only thread that shows up :)

Hmm, even with a *project,* I want to know if he''s gonna get that last one or not.
31.gif

aww...I give up...hehehe
37.gif

Just remember to tell him that Mandarine tried to stop you from asking! ahahha

Do you watch American Idol? If so, there is a thread you can visit that is new every week for American Idol fans!
9.gif
it''s a pretty funny thread...you can find it in the Hangout!...

M~

So, Mandarine, you DO know him.
9.gif
I thought so. Care to share anything?

I didn''t ask him about it last night. I wanted to *so* bad, but I didn''t.

Today I didn''t go into work. I feel like, well, like poop. I woke up kinda feeling blah, then after my shower, I felt even worse. Paul was sweet and even sent me a text message from his classroom, and he never does that. Had *dry heaves* --like you guys really want to hear this! Anyway, now I am lying in bed, can''t sleep, and I have a headache that won''t go away. My elbow is really sore, too. How''s that for an odd set of ailments?

Thanks for a new thread I can visit. I was so disappointed when Kellie left. She''s from the county my parents were born in, so I liked her initially because of that. Then I liked her story. All that "awww" stuff about her dad, her mom, her awesome grandpa. But the Jessica Simpson-like lack of common sense sort of got old after awhile. However, I have my *blonde* moments fairly often, too.

Can anyone help me figure out how to post a picture without having white space that takes up *so* much room on each posting? I have a digital camera, but I can''t seem to shrink pictures down to less than 100 whatevers without using paint to stretch/skew it down. When I do that, though, it ends up posting with all that white space, and the pictures end up itty bitty, too, in order to accomodate for the white space, maybe? I don''t know. I''m confused.

Hey there girly
21.gif
Looks like you are getting antsy sitting in this thread
28.gif
I don''t blame you!!!!!! So even though most of these are started by me, they are a few new places to peruse. U only wanted to link you to things I knew were safe and well felt like I had the right to do. So the first three links are my own threads where Paul has been no where near! and the last link is to the colored stone forum which is a totally different world. But to my knowledge Paul has been no where near and well its reading and you can look at pretty things

BTW, maybe you answered this somewhere else and I missed it or don''t remember but I was getting curious this morning. What do you do? School? I know Paul teaches but was trying to remember what it was you were up to? Well I am off to work, watching adorable children

. I hope I don''t bore you with my silly little threads! TTYL!

I''m a social worker at the county Mental Health agency. I work in the Children and Families division. Basically, I help parents learn parenting skills, structure, and consequences that work for their children with mental health a diagnosis. The majority of my kids are hyper active, have poor impulse control, or are oppositional defiant (which means they don''t listen to much of anything they''re asked to do). I visit schools, homes, take the kids out into the community to help them see ways of having fun without causing chaos, and I help coordinate services to aid the family in remaing intact, rather than placing the kids in group homes. Some of my kids are in placement, but the goal is to get them back home.

Thanks for the links! I''m going nuts lying in bed. Every time I get up, I have the dizzies. grr!

Oh ugh, I totally had forgotten you weren''t feeling well yesterday

I am so sorry! K has just had one thing after the other and is just miserable. First it was something like food poisoning (mild) and then it was a cold and now its back to icky flu like symptoms again. And of course he can''t call in sick because one person is out from a car accident injury, another is in the hospital but they don''t know what she has going on, and the third person is doing like 1/2 days because her daughter is sick. So of his whole team at work its him and his boss. One day he is doing one job and the next day its his job. And his boss is all super cranky and mean because she is doing double work too. So yea I can totally empathize with you. Well hang in there! And try not to drive yourself mad!

I''m back after a nap and brushing my teeth. I felt scuzzy.

This time when I got up, I didn''t have to hurl. I''ll take that as improvement!

Do any of you know where to find a scattered diamond wedding band? I saw one on whiteflash, but it looks rather wide and it''s quite expensive.

Also, what do you think of the couple not matching metals/metal color for their wedding bands. I like the look of matching. He waivers between liking white and yellow gold. I will get him what he wants because he''s getting me my preference as to color. I just think it''s a bit tacky not to match your spouse.

The scattered wedding band on WF is about 4mm. Maybe a little less. It doesn''t look that big because it''s very rounded, comfort-fit. It''s a copy of the Tiffany Etoile band, which I''ve tried on and liked very much, but it is definitely a stand-alone ring, with the engagement ring going on the other hand.

This is the only one i could find with 3 mm, I don''t think any 2 mm scattered bands exist. A PS vendor, Good Old Gold, can order these for you.

I don''t think it''s tacky to not match. Maybe he likes creme brulee, you like pumpkin pie. Nothing wrong with either. Especially if one person looked good in white metal and the other person looked good in yellow metal. I wouldn''t foist my own coloring that God gave me onto my partner who has his own unique coloring that God gave him. If he keeps wavering, hae you thought about two-tone? I really like this one:
wedband_milgrain_platgold.jpg

Once upon a time in fairly land, when I was about 12-13, I had this romantic thought that our wbs would one day match and curve oh so slightly and that they would fit together. Now that I am a grown up and have a tad more realistic, notice the tad, I say if I get what I want then he can get what he wants. I may want platinum and diamonds but if he wants a wood band for all I care so be it. Ok maybe not quite that flexible but you get what Im saying
28.gif

I love two tone for men! He waivers on that, too.

I also like titanium, and so does he. Most of the time. He finds rings *constricting* and hasn''t liked any he''s tried on due to lack of comfort. Maybe that''s part of why he can''t decide on a color, however if he decides yellow is his preference, that will be what I get him. My parents don''t match colors, and neither mind it.

Oooh! I *love* that! I''ll have to show him this weekend, maybe, if he brings anything up himself. I''m trying hard to be good and not talk about it, so he''ll think it''s off my mind and I will be surprised.
12.gif

Thank you for the link!!

Sorry to hear that you''re not feeling well.

I also don''t think that there''s anything wrong with not matching. My BF and I have very similar skin tones though, and yellow gold just happens to look good on both of us. We''d never be able to get wedding bands that curve and fit together, like Sparkles was suggesting though. Our hands are completely different sizes! Sometimes I steal his class ring and keep dropping one of my rings through the middle because I think it''s funny.
3.gif

I really like that first two-tone ring. I haven''t even started to think about what I''d get my boyfriend... Although, he hasn''t really told me what he likes for men''s wedding bands, and I might kinda need that piece of information.

heehee, sparkles if he really likes wood, that link has them, too! Who''d have thought??

Not for Paul or anything, but isn''t this unique and pretty? Makes me want a black pearl!!

Ours don''t match either. I have a platinum and diamond band and his is a single milgrain yellow gold band. It really came down to preference- he likes the way yellow gold looks better on him, and I wanted platinum. I don''t think the thought of matching even crossed our minds!

Logan, maybe I''m odd for thinking it in the first place!

Is SI2 bad for a diamond?

I don''t think so! I think it''s a sweet sentiment to match.

Hah, you''re hoping he bought the J SI1. Well, that was my favorite, too. Don''t worry if he didn''t get the J, he''s not JUST limited to the I SI2. There are lots of stones out there.

JulieN,

The one I really liked was the .42, actually. It was the first one he showed me, and he was *so* excited about it. I thought it sparkled like crazy mad, even though he said he was told you can''t see sparkle in a picture like that. But I did!

As for the other three, I''m not sure which I like better. I don''t know a lot about diamonds, or what their certificates really mean, although I''ve tried to learn a little here, but since this is the place I have to stay, I can''t really snoop around in threads talking specifically about diamonds. I know that cut is the most important, and from the picture of both the J and the I, they look to have nice cuts. Again, I know nothing about what makes a good cut, just that the pictures were pretty from both. I don''t know if either of them were eye-clean. I emailed Jaime, but she didn''t answer my emails, maybe because Paul asked her to keep me out of it. I went a little *overboard* there for a while.

Anyway, I know he didn''t get the .42 because when I noticed it was sold, he was incredibly sad, being that he knew it was my favorite. I''m also on the cheap/frugal side, so I liked that it was a couple hundred less than the others. Funny that the only one left now is the one that cost the most, of the four.

Was the J better? Is SI2 that much different from SI1? What does it mean when you read the report and it says something like, "not all clouds are present." In the diagram? Why not? Is that a sign that it''s really a botched up diamond?

Alas, he still hasn''t told me if he called and ordered anything. Even with me all sick and stuff, I get no extra information!
12.gif

He''s right, you can''t see sparkle in a picture.

I don''t know if the J was beter than the I. I just liked it better because I''m extremely near-sighted. Think "Three Blind Mice" sort of near-sighted. However, it may be that both are eye-clean. Or the SI2 is eye-clean and the SI1 isn''t. I don''t have that information.

Not all clouds are present. Means that the clouds are minor and don''t influence the clarity grade. If they drew in all the clouds, the diagram would look terrible and no one would want to buy it, even though it''s not as terrible as it seems.

Oh, I hear you now. I hope he asked (asks) about eye cleanliness. Then again I don''t know what an inculsion looks like.
