Holy weather!!!!

Today, looking out the window, it's pretty.

Driving in it - not pretty.

Diggin cars out - not pretty. So on so forth ad naseum.

Has anyone ever tried the round ice scrapers? I'm totally tempted...

Never seen it before... Do you think it would work on total ice like we have right now?

I just ordered a three pack for $20 including shipping. I'll report back. If they work, they are worth their weight in gold. If not, whatever, I'm out $20.

Looks like they would be great for that deep, wet snow that we get. I still like the long scraper for scraping the windshield. Let us know!

I will! They still haven't shoveled our walkway. WTF. (Apartment complex.)

Thats it!! I am getting a remote start system for my car. I cant take it. I strongly dislike scraping the windshield, touching a cold steering wheel that is even cold through my gloves and all that nonsense. I go out early and heat it up which is less than pleasant. I have to start getting ready and then bundle up and run out there with wet hair and all so that there is some sense of heat when I am ready to go. I bet I lose about 10 minutes of get ready time in the morning...Bundle up, run outside, start the car, go back in, un-bundle, and thaw out before finishing getting ready.

Man, I really do not like winter. Every single year I wonder why in the heck the first people in this area stopped and said "This looks like a good place to stay" They were either insane or well, insane.

We're at -1 right now with a windchill of 15 below. Sitting by my window is a little chilly right now! lol This is the kind of weather that makes your nose hairs freeze.

I would love to know how those round scrapers work. They don't seem like they'd remove the ice layer that inevitably covers every square inch of glass on my car but they're probably good at the heavy muck and thinner ice.

I have an Explorer that I drive in the winter and it has remote start. It's awesome. It really does cut down on the window scraping and the cold butt (leather seats).

I almost got a remote start, but I have a lease and it goes back next year, so I was going to wait for the next one.

In the meantime, my snowman says hi:

How adorable!! I love making snowmen... Too bad my yard is currently full of construction crap.

It was 68 degrees here yesterday...

Monkeypie: Pthhhhhhhbt!

Tuckins - he's sitting on the ledge just outside our apartment, guarding the door, LOL.

I WANT IT TO SNOW NOW! And I'm not even a big fan of winter (I hate being cold and I don't do any winter sports). I just want ONE good snow storm. Just one snow day. So far -- nada.

We're in New England. It's actually not that uncommon for us to have a green Christmas but I don't like it.

Huh. I guess you haven't been in the line of all those storms moving through... Hopefully you get some snow for Christmas!

Okay, I tried the round scraper this morning, and so far am loving it! Just a light dusting of ice - I'll have to wait and see how it does with more challenging conditions!
