Hi Ladies,

I have hear several brides here on PS post about their honeymoon journals and was wondering if you had any suggestions for what you used, what you liked/didn''t like about yours, etc... I would like to find a nice one to use for the week of our wedding and also our pseudo-honeymoon for the extra week we''re in Maui after most of our guests leave.

I would also like to find less expensive travel journals for our guests who venture to Maui. I would put the ones for our guests in their Welcome Bags, which are very large tote/beach bags in a pale celery green color and would be one per couple or each single guest, so I''m guessing I will need about 20 of them, therefore need to keep the cost fairly reasonable.

I would appreciate any thoughts or ideas any of you may have...thanks so much in advance!

Hey Harleigh,

Amazon.com is having a sale on Moleskin journals right now...
http://www.amazon.com/Moleskine-MB712-Pocket-Squared-Notebook/dp/B00069DKW0/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&s=office-products&qid=1203984667&sr=1-22
Those were going for 8.50 each. I pick up Moleskin journals every now and then at Barnes & Noble and always love how nice they look. Maybe those would work for your gift bags? Another option might be popping over to your local Barnes & Noble and seeing what''s on sale/clearance. I''ve scored some really nice journals I have used on trips before there.

They have some nice travel diaries as well:

Barnes & Noble has some cuter travel journals for more money that might be good for yourself:

Hope this helps!

Here's the one I used for my honeymoon: Destinations - red leather from amazon.com

Loved it because it's classy and compact, if I remember right it DID have pockets which is a major must for a travel journal. Also - I always travel with double-sided tape so I can actually use those blank back pages to stick receipts and odds and ends to the book and not lose them somewhere between the trip and home. :)

ETA: For your own journal, you might want to visit B&N - I noticed that they usually stock 4-5 different options that are pretty good and you can open them, carry them, and compare which styles you like. Five years ago, I couldn't find a travel journal ANYWHERE, but these days they're a lot more common.

Thank you so much, Julia and Elmorton! Those are some great ideas, thank you.

For myself and my FI, I wouldn''t mind spending a bit more as I love to write (what...no way!

), but for our welcome bags, I think I''m going to have to find something a bit less expensive or not at all.

I appreciate your taking the time to look these up for me...I will be checking them all out more thoroughly after a quick shower!
I swear I have typed in just about every combination I could think of on Google for these and came up with either crap or really expensive ones, so am so glad to have the options you posted to sift through.

Thanks again!
