Honeymoon recs for a South Pacific-like destination?

I would reallly love to go to the South Pacific (Moorea, Fiji, etc.) or Asia (Thailand, etc.) for my honeymoon but we just can''t afford the money...or the amount of time one should take to properly enjoy a vacation so far from home (Atlanta). So, does anyone have any recommendations for something similiear in feel/looks, yet closer to home and more affordable? I am really at a loss here

...the wedding is October 25th, with the honeymoon immediately following. We are looking at taking seven days. At least most of what I have seen indicates we will be in the off season, so pricing is more reasonable. We would like to stay out of the immediate hurricane area in the Caribbean (as it is still the tail end of the season), and have looked some at Costa Rica and Belize.

Please feel free to share any other wonderful honeymoon destinations...while I love this idea, we are certainly open to new ones!

Well, for a South Pacific feel close to home have you considered Hawaii? I have spent quite a bit of time in the South Pacific (Fiji, the Cook Islands, Samoa, New Zealand, Easter Island, etc.), and Maui is still one of my very favorite places. I would avoid Oahu, but Maui or Kauai might be great choices. I''ve also spent quite a bit of time in Asia, and that''s just a different experience entirely.
