A game I will never forget !

National Champs, yee haw. Last night my daughter who attends UT was out celebrating with the whole town! Just to hear the excitement on her cell phone was intoxicating.

I think Vince Young wanted to prove something, and he did. It was a hard fought game and USC has nothing to be ashamed about. It could have gone either way. But I am so happy for UT and the state of TEXAS !!!!!!

that game was AWESOME!
vince young is the man. i hope he comes back next year.

Ann, your daughter must be very proud. I was surrounded by UT alum last night. If there were goalposts on my block they would have been ripped down. I was lucky to save my carpet and the stemware.

A game for the ages. That and the Orange Bowl nail biter were two of the most dramatic bowl games I can remember.

CONGRATULATIONS TEXAS!

Congratulations to Texas! My work mentor played football for them, and so I was very happy on his behalf.

Very happy to see USC knocked off their thrown!

Also glad to see Joe Pa win the "Geezer Bowl"... FSU never should have been there... it should have been my suddenly crappy Hokies!

They REALLY wanted more! Congrats - and I"m glad the pundints were proven wrong. Geez, at times it was like you''ve declared the winner already.

I thought that Vince Young had decided to stay at UT his last year, but in this morning''s Houston Chronicle there was an article saying he is discussing his options with family and advisors.

He deserves the Heisman Trophy and would be in the running for sure next year.

If I was him, I''d stay. I mean, what if he got drafted by the Texans!!!! Are they saying now that Reggie Bush might stay at USC afterall?

I was wishing to be on 6th street last night!!!! Rock on Horns!!!!

Booo. Can I be the rain on the parade? I was sad to USC lose. Not because I''m an SC fan, but because I''m a PAC-10 fan and a traditionalist when it comes to the Rose Bowl (its SUPPOSED to be played on the 1st between a PAC-10 team and a Big 10 school ...) and because the west coast doesn''t get the respect it deserves, in any sport.

USC got my respect !! They are a great team. Last night just was not their night. I actually thought UT would lose to USC. I DIDN''T want that of course, but UT pulled it off.

GRRRRR.....
For the first time ever, I'm not lovin' my fellow PSers

Oh, congrats to the Longhorns! I do billing for a company that has a branch in Texas, and I had a phone call yesterday from one of the help desk gals...she was so excited about the win she gave me a good schooling on college football period! Her excitement was palpable over the phone and I was so happy for her, even though I know nothing about college football. I was given a quick lesson and told that it meant $14 million for the school, and none of that money goes to the players, it goes to the school itself, and that''s the difference between college and pro football. I was happy to learn that, as my husband is a huge pro footbal fan (Bears, we live in Chicago). I''m always glad to know money is being distributed to establishments of learning. Good job, Longhorns!

We Longhorn fans are still bustn'' our buttons!!!

I know the school is planning a huge celebration for the players and students as soon as the students get back next week.
I told my daughter I might just be there. I do remember Vince Young when he played high school ball here in Houston and it is so heart warming to see this kid excell. I hope he stays at UT for his sr. year though!

Great game !!
