so this weekend boyf and i went to a arts&crafts fair, of which also included going to the mall and jewelry stores *yea*.
We went to a store (outside the mall, actually) that specifically handles estate jewelry and fabricates their own jewelry upstairs.
I just "happened" to have my gma''s ring with me (uh... okay i totally planned it!!) and we went in to get it checked out. They master goldsmith there told us that he would repair it for $700!! fully repaired!! Seeing how we''ve been looking at other places, all quoting 800-1200 for just the shank, we were SUPER happy with that price. Plus boyf likes the fact that this guy has been there for 30 + years and has been a master goldsmith for 30+ years as well (bellevue is a young town, so anything thats lasted from the 70''s is good news).
soooooo hopefully that will mean the ring will be fixed soon, and then you know what comes after that!!
