Hot Pink Ering

The original ring was a Vera Wang Aquamarine ring that I loved and is my birthstone, But pink is my favorite color and Im all about being different so Im trying to hint at my bf that Id love this ring, but only problem is I cant find a setting like this one. I found it a long time ago but accidently deleted the file that I saved the web address on So if anyone has any idea as to where I can find it, online or in store (pref online) or any jewelers that are decent priced that can make it in platinum, online or im locted in Orlando, FL thatd be awesome. I photoshopped the picture so I could make it pink. Let me know what ya'll think of it as an ering!!!

Well a pink sapphire will be durable enough for daily wear. Very Wang stopped her fine jewelery line so custom is probably your best bet.

i would do a search on here about vera wang and issues with the settings. from what i recall, there were some serious durability issues with the settings and that contributed to the line being discontinued.

ETA: for a similarly delicate look and lovely micropave, the folks around here really seem to like Leon Mege, and seem to have had good experiences with the quality/durability of his pieces.

I 2nd the other folks who mentioned that as pretty as this ring is ... it is NOT PRACTICAL as an everyday ring. Which is perhaps why that Vera Wang line was discontinued.

A few gals who had similar delicate rings around here have since changed settings after their rings were damaged. And those were 1ct or under stones ... not the giaganto 10 carat +++ monstrosity pictured there!!

Its fine to be fanciful when dreaming of your new e-ring but those of us who have been dealing with real day-to-day issues are gonna poke our practical heads in and give you the skinny! RETREAT!! DO NOT PURSUE!! Only pain lies ahead!!!

Hmm... Interesting. Does the same sort of warning apply to this sort of setting with say.. a 3.2 carat sapphire? (She asks, with her selfish motives.) Or was this about the maker? Strange, that Vera Wang would have such fragile rings.. she has such a rep for quality.

Anyway, not an entirely selfish post. How about these hot pink stones? Some of the cuts are a little wonky. But the colors are niiiice, IMHO.
