I know there are somewhat mixed reviews of HouseofBrides.com, but I took a chance and ordered my wedding dress through them, after trying the dress on at a local shop. The dress came in yesterday in perfect condition only one month from the date I ordered it. I could not be happier as I saved $300.00!! and I have plenty of time to get it altered. I just wanted to share my good experience.

I think House of Brides is kind of a hit and miss depending on location. I know I''ve heard of many problems with the one in my area, but I''ve heard a couple of people in other areas that were super satisfied. I took a chance with Davids Bridal because I had heard such mixed reviews about them too. Turns out my experience was fantastic with them! And I dealt with two stores about 3 hours from each other! My mom convinced me to try them because she said that those bad experiences could be just isolated instances of bad luck and I should give them a shot. I''m glad I did because I found "the one."

I live oustside Boston, MA, we don''t have any of the House of Brides locations in the New England area. I was looking at houseofbrides.com as the alternative to buying from a shop. I looked at other online vendors as well but I was uncomfortable ordering from places that did not have a picture of the dress and description. I would say I had a really positvie experience at all the places I tried on dresses including Davids Bridal. I just took my dress shopping a step further and found the one I wanted online for less. Anyway, it''s another option to save money for a budget bride ; )
