Here is my sun stress Thanksgiving cactus with its second bloom, my reaching for the sun marble Epi Pinnatum and my never say die tri-color Syngonium.

we call them inch cactus (even though we live in metric
i would love just one little ..well inch
i just refuse to buy one when they are so easy to grow

Microsorum thailandicum or Blue oil fern! Easy to care for if you can find it!

During COVID and our lockdowns I filled the house with indoor plants, I’ve never been able to keep an indoor plant alive till now.
I did pick mostly Kentia & Parlour palms as they are easy to care for and grow so well.
Here are my not so great photos of these beauties.

Not sure what this plant is? My husband bought it for me years ago, it was tiny and grew out of it’s pot so we repotted it and now it is huge.

Yes, you’re right I looked it up and it’s a Croton Cheryl - Codiaeum variegatum.
The reason it’s growing so well is because it’s next to a large window and gets lots of sun.

My friend recently gave me this plant, I’m not sure what it is so I will have do some research. Does anyone know?

Anthurium. Needs bright light and let the soil dry about 75 to 80% before watering again. If you see the leaves droop a bit, it's time to water.

Thanks @monarch64 and @Lisa Loves Shiny, if it’s a Lily it will be poisonous to cats. I’ve noticed that my cat Bertie doesn’t get to close to it and he loves my other indoor plants; Calathea (not sure what species it is), Kentia and Parlour Palms.
I will have to give the Anthurium away, unfortunately.

When I tried to keep houseplants in the past, I failed miserably. So I was exactly the sucker the easyplant.com website was looking for. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon it but I have since purchased 4 plants for myself and 3 as gifts for my daughter. They are pricey but come pre-potted with a self-watering pot that you are supposed to fill only once a month.

Even though they are well packaged for shipping, one of my daughter's plants looked really worse for wear when she received. She emailed their support team and they gave her a free replacement. One of mine (the ZZ plant) arrived fine but was just much more sparse than shown on their website. All of the others (prayer plant, birds nest fern, marble pathos and marble schefflera) looked great out of the box.

After a few months of trial and error with the ZZ plant to try to find a place in our living room where it seemed to do best, it still isn't filling out. So I emailed their support team and they provided a free replacement which I really appreciated. I used that to buy the marble schefflera. They've also helped with any other basic questions I've had (e.g., what are the dark diagonal marks on the leave's of my bird's nest fern - oh those are spores, ok, got it lol).

They sell plants in small, medium, large and jumbo size and are clear on the website about which are pet-friendly and which will do well in low light so as a novice I appreciate the clear guidance. And each pot comes in different color options. I have no relationship to this company but they have made my entry back into houseplants enjoyable and easy so thought I'd share.

So cool! Clivias as a landscape plant?? We can only grow them indoors in pots where live.

oh thats so sad
they almost grow like weeds here, in the shade and dry, very useful for down the side of a lot of houses, but for some reason they are quite pricy to buy

up here in Wanganui we have the 4th most temperate climate in the world ( i have no idea who is 1, 2 or 3)
but stuff has to get established
my hisicus frosted off despite the big ones as tall as house in my neighbourhod
i am wanting to grow a rubber plant outside, there are some out by the beach, mine lives in the front porch so far
cacti is my jam, i know succulants will grow but im wanting to plant my cacti in the front garden under the bedroom windows

but down home in Dunedin the frost and snow was good, it killed all the bugs and germs and as you know you get the beautiful autumn leaves

We found that when we had a house in USVI. The tropical houseplants they sell in the US were in our yard.

They are good houseplants @Begonia and very pretty.

We created a semi tropical landscape to suit the garden that surrounds the pool area, so we added Cliiviias as ground cover, Agave”s and lots of different species of palm.

How lovely... those are agaves no?
