I guess I havent really paid attention to that, but the one I was at this weekend had the parents then the bridal party announced and then the couple announced. I think that''s how the last one I was in was like too. The DJs did the announcing.

They''ll announce you anyway you want to be announced. We were announced by our first names because we both kept our last names. Our friends did the same even though she did take his last name, she didnt'' want to be announced as a Mrs. Most weddings i''ve been to, they did "Mr. and Mrs. Marriedname."

You could ask them to introduce you as "Sally and Bill Jones" if you want your name to be mentioned, otherwise, like everyone has said, you get introduced as "Mr and Mrs. Billy Jones"..

Thanks girls, I was trying to figure out how we wanted to be announced. I want my name to be in there somewhere but still sound formal. I want to tell the Dj exactly how to announce us. I had become very detail-oriented for the wedding.

At the ceremony I'm having the priest announce us as Mr & Mrs S. C. (formal version). At the reception, the DJ will announce us as Mr & Mrs N. & S. C. (less formal).
