How can I make my shoes stand out from my bridesmaids?

My bridesmaids and I are all wearing the same shoes. I had originally planned on glueing little flatback crystals that were the same colors as the flowers on my shoes, but am now wondering if that''s going to work or not. Any ideas?

We''re also painting the heels of our shoes black and I was told that I should use a Sharpie Paint Marker. Does anyone know of wood or oil based would be best for these wooden heels?

i would attach a small brooch to each toe. something like this

That''s a great idea. Maybe you could pin it on to the shoes. The shoes are so fabulous, I wouldn''t want to permanently alter them in anyway so I could wear them again.

Can I just say how awesome an idea it is to paint the heel?! I hate the wooden heel thing that is going on right now, but that is a fantastic idea! I think a Sharpie paint marker might be fine, I just wouldn''t use a water based paint, because you don''t want it to run if it gets wet.
