hello im posting this to find out how you liked shopping wth JTV. ive seen alot of posting bashing them but the few stones ive bought from them have been better then pictured. i will say they tend to be my last resort i look around befor i end up making my purchases with them. im allways happy when i recieve my stone in the mail ive never had to send anything back.

4 years ago I bought a Tanzanite from them. That year, DH and I also went to Mexico, where I purchased a Tanzanite.

The stone I bought from JTV, is just as beautiful as the one we purchased in Mexico. Deep, dark color, red flashes, etc. and NO windows. What I see now of their stones. I am not impressed at all, including their Tanzanites.

I don''t ever watch them anymore, just catch it if we are flipping channels.

Linda

ive purchased from the a 7mm round heliodor that i really happy with nicely cut no window. A 7x9 oval hessonite garnet looks great.
right now i waiting for a blue zircon and a morganite im really picky on there site i look for the stones that have not been treated so i have to dig threw all there item number. i just cant bring myself to buy an tanzanite they just dont intrest me but wow they sure do push those stones i do wish they would show lesser known stones more often its all tanzanite and andesine-labradorite anymore

Hi Artist Adam,
Their morganite and blue zircon are treated stones. The TV shows are not showing any I.d. of treatments on air. You have to go to the website and read about the stone in the details. I have just noticed this with hsn and jtv. (this is new)
Like Linda and others on this forum, several years ago I purchased some lovely stones and jewelry from them. My first purchases were 5 tsavorite garnets, 2 tanzanite rings, spessertite garnets and kunzite. I was happy with them but returned many items that were damaged or ugly. But within the last two years the quality of the merchandise has fallen so I don''t buy there anymore, just like Linda. i do however continue to look and athough their prices have doubled I saw they got in some very nice tsavorite garnet. They haven''t had that in a long time and I suspect it''s because another mine site was found and opened.
I have mixed feelings about them. There is another reasonably priced website that is recommended on here but I find the quality of those gems to be about the same as jtv. You have to know what constitutes a good gem. Read, look at this website and others before you buy. I wish I had waited. But I did have fun. I hope you do too.
Thanks Annette

I have found some of the better quality and more rare stones/minerals on the vault section of JTV wesite. Check it out!!! I have not been disappointed with ANYTHING I bought on the "Vault" !!!

I have been a loyal customer since 1996!! I have found that the longer they are in business the BETTER the stones get!!! I absolutely LOVE them and have had only 1 disappointment. I LOVE the faceted parcel, its always a treasure hunt!!!

I think you are slightly mistaken. JTV is the ONLY network on TV that DOES disclose treatments. HSN,QVC, DSN,GEM NETWORK, ETC. do not EVER disclose irradiation, bulk diffusion, azotic treatment, etc. JTV does also go into greater detail on the website. ALSO, have you ever notice how JTV is the only one that breaks down the carat weights. Oh, and by the way the stones that they don''t disclose are standard treatments. (i.e topz, tanzanite, etc.)

I''ve bought some things from them I really liked and some things I didn''t. The beauty of it is - they take it back for a full refund - no questions asked. I like the wide variety of stones you can buy from them.

Holy moly... I wouldn''t mind dangling these 4.29 tcw pinkies from my ears. I wish I had enough experience to spot a real value and jump on it!

Ninama - those are gorgeous!

I''ve bought some loose stones, all under $50, and some less expensive jewelry. I haven''t returned anything. Since I try to only buy from the clearence section the items are at least worth what I pay. I had USPS "loose" the gem scale I bought from them, they were great about putting a claim in and sent me a new one right away.
