your ring specs? For those of you who didn''t pick the ring together, did you ask? Did he just show you the certificate? Do some of you not know the specs? Just curious...

I picked it out but how I found out he actually bought it? Stupid jeweler accidently called ME! I think you should be able to get to see your certificate.

My husband just gave me the GIA paperwork and appraisal right after he got the ring insured. I didn''t even know to ask back then...I was basically clueless about diamonds. (TG for PS!)

We picked it out from an antique jeweller''s together. I only know it''s colour, clarity, size, cut. I have no clue about all the percentages. 1 - since it''s an older cut, the percentages would be off anyway and 2 - I don''t really care. I don''t see the point in being like "oh honey, it''s so beautiful! Now, what were the spec again?" If you like the ring, it doesn''t matter (assuming that he actually took the time to pick what he thought was best).

We picked out the ring together and the GIA report came with a little wallet sized card that the jeweler gave me even though we don''t have the ring in our possession yet. I like to pull it out and look at it every now and then

Thanks everyone! I thought it was interesting how so many women knew the specifics of their ring, b/c I can''t imagine my bf knowing all the detailed stuff, let alone verbalizing it to me. We''ll see...
