I''m working on one of the final details this weekend, and that''s booking a limo. I''d really like to have the whole bridal party with us just because then I don''t have to worry about anyone being late (I have one bm who is always late for everything).

My question is ... how do you get everyone to the church, from the church to the reception??? Did you have limos for everyone, one limo for the bride and groom (and did your dad go with you to the church in this limo, which my mom says is what you do??), have the bms and groomsmen meet somewhere and go together???

Transporting is confusing to me. We''re having our ceremony and reception at separate locations about 30 mins apart...

Our ceremony and reception site are about the same distance apart as yours and we are having one 14-person limo take us two and our bridal party (5 bms and 5 gms) there and back (12 in total). Yes, this means FI and I will be seeing eachother before the ceremony but I could not have him schleping in our ordinary car while I rode in a limo to our ceremony lol (there were a few other reasons for this format, too).

We may try to squeeze our moms in there (my dad is no longer with us and his dad is estranged) to maximize the 14 seats but I am operating under the assumption right now that when limos quote how many seats they have, they over-estimate.

When I was in a wedding recently, all the guys met at the church early to get dressed. The bridesmaids and bride got ready at her house and rode in the limo to the church (parents followed in their car). After the ceremony, the wedding party hitched rides to the reception (and later home) with friends or significant others, while the bride and groom rode in the limo. Someone drove the grooms car to the reception site, and the couple left in that at the end of the night.
