I am wanting a stone in a "champagne pink" color. Does this fit the bill?

The problem Taylorbug is that you're trying to get a diamond substitute and honestly, to me, a brownish pink color really looks best on diamond, and not on a very low RI stone like that tourmaline. Now I know there are people that will disagree with me and like brownish pink, but in my own personal opinion, I like champagne pink on a diamond. There are decent malayas, but the one you picked out in your other thread is not very good.

I think that's a nice color, dusty pink or rose is what I'd call it. Tourmaline won't look like a diamond though, if that is what you're after. The closest you can get looks wise to a diamond would be a spinel or, even better, zircon which should come in a soft brownish pink. You'd need to be more careful with zircon though.
