Just wondering if I''m equally as fickle as the rest of you diamond lovers or am I worse? Did most or any of you change your mind about shape and/or setting preference right after you got the ring you thought you wanted? Yet, you still like the one you have but are indecisive enough to keep looking? I''m even starting to really like things that I wouldn''t have given a second glance at 3 months ago!

Christy, what you''re saying sound very alarming

! I was hoping that my indecision will end once I get my ring.

Oh no! Bluepea, I agree! I assumed once I had the ring my indecisiveness would be over ...

Christy - maybe weaning yourself off Pricescope would be a good start ...

Christy, your setting didn''t turn out quite as you wanted in the first place, no ?

... no wonder you want it changed

Christy, I COMPLETELY understand what you are going through!!! I looked at diamonds and settings for over a year, and my preferences kept changing! We finally bought a diamond about 2 months ago, and it is beautiful, but I can''t stop checking things to make sure we made the right choice! (I never posted the specs or photos on pricescope because I think I was afraid to hear anything bad!) THEN I finally decided on a setting (which was completely different from what I thought I wanted way back when) and we ordered it a few weeks ago.....and I still find myself looking at other settings, obsessing over the one we ordered, wondering if we should have chosen another, etc.....

I feel like I am losing my mind, but I''m relieved to see I''m not the only one who is going through this. I guess I am afraid that I really will start to dislike it, seeing as I have lost interest in other settings that I used to love....but I went with a relatively "simple" setting, in the hopes that I will never get sick of it!

So in other words....there are at least two of us out there! And yes, I think pricescope only makes things worse!

Hi everyone!

I''m fairly new here (okay..really new here!) but I saw this post and had to laugh...for my 10-year anniversary, my DH promised me a new wedding ring. I love the ring he put on my finger on our wedding day, but we were young and we couldn''t afford much then. I''ve been looking for months on a new setting and what I like...my tastes were flip-flopping as I went into stores and tried on different rings...it was driving my DH nuts!

This last week, my sister and I went to the LAJD just to get more ideas (my DH was "ringed out!")....my sister found a setting and told me to try it on...I did and then I didn''t want to take it off!!! This told me this was the setting for me...now I have the setting in my possession (we ended up buying that setting) and I looking for information on my center stone before we buy...

My DH sees me on the web looking for diamonds, he keeps thinking I''m looking for settings...he''s always asking, "We have the ring, why do you keep looking???" LOL I keep telling him I''m looking at loose stone prices and looking for ideas of what my ring will look like once the diamond is set (I''m going for an emerald cut)...but he''s convinced (much more than I) that I''ll change my mind again...

If I do, that''s what future anniversaries are for! ROFL

It''s nice to know that while I''m in agony I''m in good company.......Thanks, It''s comforting to know that PS has this effect on others besides myself.

Well, like any addiction, you have to want to quit.....I love looking at rings and stones and stories and yadayada.....

Yes Ana, you are exactly right. The problem is now I''m not even sure I want the channel set. I saw someone''s picture of an RB, Ritani, "Endless Love" setting and I love that too. I was never a big fan of rounds but I love it in that setting. I also like asschers. So, basically. I''m not even sure about the stone shape anymore! I do have a particularly beautiful princess though, which is hard to find. So, I''m not inclined to give that up easily. So, I''m driving myself mad with indecision. Maybe I could have both? All three? Yeah right.......

I know this is a taboo phrase on PS but my princess is too big! I already have a 2 carat marquise with a 1 carat wrap on my left hand and having a 2.5 carat on my right hand just seems like an awful lot of bling!
