I tried to post a poll, but made numerous errors in it. I am starting all over again. If you voted in my first attempt, I apologize to you. That poll has been deleted. Please return and try again!

Oops - made a comment but the poll wasn't done yet...

anyway, this September will be 2 years. So far...so good!

I never posted a poll before. (I know, this was so polished that no one could tell!) The cool thing about a poll is that even if it looks as if no one is responding (because no one posts anything and the poll slides down the list)...that people may have been voting! When one clicks on the button to see the results, he may find out that a lot was going on behind the scenes. So totally cool!

19 years and looking forward to many more!!!!

My husband and I will have been married for 14 years in September. First marriage for him, second one for me. My first marriage only lasted for 18 months, so sometimes I tell myself that one didn''t count...I got a divorce, then I had it anulled...

To whoever picked the 40+ years, congratulations. You don''t see that sort of commitment very often in this day and age. Keep it up!

HI:

I dunno know how, but it is twenty years this year!!! I may get flack from this, but who said marriage isn''t a lot of work!

Congratulations! 20 years is a great milestone. And you won''t get any flack from me, I think that marriage is a lot of work myself! But it''s very happy and rewarding work most of the time, with lots of good payoffs and bonuses!

I like this one...my grandparents hit the 50th mark this Oct, my parents are at 26. My great aunt and uncle had hit 79 before he passed on and my other grandparents hit 23 before she died. There are no divorces in my family (either side) and people get married young so that helps too. I am hoping to someday post that I have been married for 50+ years...

25 years this coming August for us. Geez.....we''re getting old!

19 years on July 11th

where is the "TOO LONG" check box ?.

16 years this July 22nd, and I wouldn''t have thought my category would be the majority. Surely this is more a function of those who choose to answer the question, rather than the normative guy or gal who stops by on the board....

We''ve been married for 19 years!!!! Our anniversary was this past Tuesday, June 28.

We will be married for 6 years on August 14.

At our wedding instead of tossing the bouquet and garter we did the "anniversary dance" where all the married couples are dancing. The dj then started by saying "If you''ve been married less than 1 year please leave the floor". It was to try to see who has been married the longest. It was so cute b/c everyone was gathered at the edge of the dance floor waiting to see who it would be. The winner was my grandparents who were married 59 years. They got the bouquet and garter. My other grandparents were married 54 years so they were in the top 3 of the dance.

My parents have not yet seen any of their (three) grandchildren married. The eldest is about to start her senior year in high school. Nonetheless, their marriage appears to have worked. They have been married for 63 years and if they both live until October, it will be 64.
