But having a three-year engagement makes me feel better than having a nine-year relationship without engagement!

We have been together about 7.5 years, we had been together 7 years and 3 months when we got engaged. And when we get married we will have been together 8 years and 7 months. Wow!
Long-distance will do that to you.
No, nothing has changed. I never had a specific timeframe. He and I were supposed to move in together this summer but my place didn''t sell. I had hoped he would propose before the end of the year but have a feeling it might be longer given our having to postpone the move. I don''t know if he''ll propose before we live together and there''s no real rush...quite yet! If it doesn''t happen by Jan-Feb., I think I will talk to him seriously and see what he''s thinking. Given our plans to move out of state in 2008, that would become very difficult to accomplish if he didn''t propose by early ''07 b/c we''ve both agreed we would be married before leaving the state. So we''ll see...Date: 10/2/2006 11:08:00 AM
