How long will he make me wait?

The ring has been purchased over a month ago and we just got it back from the jeweler from being sized. I picked it up last night (BF was not with me-he was working) and it is amazing. I wore it all around the mall and as soon as I got home promptly handed it over to bf. He hid it somewhere in our house and is being very ambiguous about when the engagement will actually happened. In your experience how long after the ring has been purchased did you have to wait?

Stone was bought 6-23 and we were engaged 8-23 so 2 months. So worth the wait! hehe

FI proposed 5 days after the ring arrived. His original plan required waiting 8 days, but he "couldn't wait longer"

My BF says I will get the ring the same day he does. He says he knows he can't hold it for even 24 hrs! YAY!

Although since I have picked out the ring, I'm sure he will get it a few days before Christmas and hand on til Christmas Eve/Day...can't wait!

I really wanted a Christmas engagement and BF says that he wants to let Christmas just be Christmas

It is driving me crazy. Maybe New Years eve? Maybe Valentines day...maybe six months from now. I wont be able to handle waiting six months LOL I am already going insane! Thank you for all of your support. It looks like I am going to have to wait a little while longer, atleast four weeks or at most six months HAHA!grrrrr!

Well....the ring will be done and in his hands this weekend from what WF said (but Im pretending I don''t know that). Hopefully he won''t make me wait toooo long, however we have been together for 7 years so whats another couple weeks rite?!?

C bought my setting at the end of September, and has yet to purchase the diamond. He wants something much nicer than I need, and he also doesn''t want to deplete the checking acct once it''s purchased. The setting is still at the jewelery store, which I believe makes it easier for him not to think about.

I don''t bring it up anymore, so as not to pressure him... however he is the one joking about it now. I think he''s worried I don''t care anymore... I think that the plan is working!!!

WOW! I am so lucky to find this forum! I chose the ring and he bought it. I started to feel bad thinking that I shouldn''t know. He will get my ring on Tuesday! My ring took 3 months to make (long story, but sourcing baguettes for the setting was a nightmare)... he picked it up on the Wednesday and then the next time I saw him was on the Saturday, when he proposed! I thought he''d make me wait, but he kept telling me that he wouldn''t waste anytime once he had it... and he was right!

Good luck though... I hope for your sake that its just around the corner!

He bought in on 9th of July and proposed on 7th October-his reason was that he wanted to take me away somewhere and so he had to plan it!
