I only daily wear my e-ring. It's quite ironic because I talk about it and I drool over it, but I am not a huge jewelry person at all! I wear my sterling silver hoops (which are about to be upgraded finally after 2 years to platinum!) and my e-ring and that's it. For fun sometimes I wear my earrings. I used to wear my bracelet but after I got my e-ring, it no longer held any attraction.




It's funny because my ring is quite bling-bling because of all the melee and yet I am such a jeans and flip flops gal most of the time that it makes people look twice. They probably think it's a CZ. Hee Hee.

Gee whiz. You are right Win. I am comming in at about 7 cts conservatively daily with no ering counted in the mix. That is broken down into 1 bracelet about 2 ct, maybe more, 1 pr earrings 1ct. one ring on rt hand about 1 ct probably more, and anniversary band on left 1.6 ct, and watch about 1.5. Sounds like a lot for everyday but it doesn't look like much to me although others notice. This is just everyday though there is other stuff that sits for special occasions or the blue moon, but this is the everyday suite. Soon to be more. Maybe I can aspire to double digits. hee hee.

2.53 carats fancy green and just-a-little bit of white... everyone that sees my ring asks me if my birthday is in August. I tell them no, April... (diamond). They all seem confused...and that's probably a good thing...

I'm not sure of the flourescence... This fancy green diamond does not have a certificate. I have considered having it sent to GIA, I don't really know why I havn't yet. Laziness... not motivated. I guess it's not that important to me. I don't plan to ever sell it...It's a family heirloom. I've been told that the diamond is worth alot of money. The cut is poor, to almost "bugging-me". I ought to have it re-cut by eight-star... but then would I be "tampering" with family history? My husband re-set the diamond for my 25th wedding aniversary 3 years ago... if that's not tampering, I don't know what is! The new setting is a bit on the "heavy" side. I've seen some interesting settings posted. When I get around to having it re-cut, I will probably choose a different setting. (If it passes approval with my hubby) Oh, by the way, I will try and get some pics downloaded soon. I havn't figured out how to get the right pixel size, and I need some clues on how to photograph it. My flash causes freaky things to happen!

I am currently wearing my e-ring- 2.03 + anniversary band- .56= 2.59 ctw.
dia. by yard earrings= .50ctw
dia. by yard necklace= .65 ctw. (or .62 not sure)
dia. by yard bracelet= .50 ctw. (I think)


So the total is= 4.24 ctw.

I don't usually wear any other diamond rings when I wear the e-ring combo. But on my left hand, I do wear my two platinum wedding bands.

I also don't usually wear the bracelet because it is so thin and delicate and I have lost two silver bracelets by E Peretti already.
Although I must say that the clasp on the bracelet is much stronger and it is in platinum, but still, you just never know!

Total...11.2 carats

It seems like a lot but for San Francisco it seems to be the norm.

For my area, I'm about average. I see more diamonds on some and very few on others. I feel most comfortable with the amount I'm wearing and if I upgrade my earrings like I hope to, I'd probably not wear my necklace on the days my bigger earrings are in. I'm just not comfortable wearing A LOT of jewerly at once.

*LOL* I started this poll because I realized I had on about 4 carats at the time of this poll myself!

Today for example I have 2 in earrings, 2 in a 3 stone ring, another one in a right hand (colored stone and diamond) ring, and my ideal cut spiderweb pendant!

When I wear my Cartier style wedding set it's up to about 6!

Yowsers, I never realized I had such a collection!

And yes AnA, I did make in all inclusive, since to me, carats are carats, and I do so love my pad sapphire!

Um, Zero, actually. It's always Zero. Now that you got me thinking about it, I can't explain it.
Perhaps after working with jewelry all day, I just grew an immunity to wearing any. Haven't for years. Is this something other jewelers do?

2.5 carats today every day. I inherited my grandmothers .5 RB and wear it daily on my right hand (yellow gold). My left hand ring is platinum, 2c total -- Center stone is a 1c radiant cut and there 24 princess cuts and 14 tapered baguettes in the setting. I bought the left hand ring as a "finally divorced, got a master's degree, got a nice raise" present for myself about 5 years ago. It was purchased at a mall jeweler before I found any of the diamond chat sites. I did know enough at the time not to pay their asking price which was $11,000. I offered them $5,000 cash; they balked; I started to leave and the store manager and clerk couldn't put it on my finger fast enough.
