How old is too old....

How exciting! I hope you get the job  Good luck!!!

i had one for ~3 years. a teeeeeny tiny stud. it became a pita to deal with - always being careful not to rub it, not to snag it on a towel as i dried my hair, not wanting to get lotion on it, etc. it was a good 3-4 months before it was actually "healed" in that it wasn't swollen and red with the stud in, but even the slightest "bump" to it would cause it to swell up. i took it out one day (which killed to do because it was a screw shaped post) and felt so free i never put it back in!

i think it totally depends on your style - like everything else.

I'm not a big fan of them now, seems like so may people have them and they aren't really kept clean - ick. the last thing i want to see is a dirty or infected nose ring on someone - blech!

it actually healed just fine though once i took it out and very quickly. that is what i heard would happen, that it would start to heal immediately and even waiting a day to put it back would be painful...my body's way of saying 'thank you for taking that stupid thing out!' i imagine...
