The time has come for rehoming.
This is a seriously beautiful and HUGE Australian Opal. I inherited from an Aunt who had the ring made for her back in the 1960s.
The opal is not perfect, the price would be vastly different if it was, it has stone lines. These were there from the beginning and why the Opal was fully bezel set. The lines haven’t changed in 60 years.
Heavy ring at 17.1 grams.
currently sized as an 8. A jeweller competent working with Opals could easily re size the ring if needed.
listed on Loupe Troop and also eBay.
This is a rare opal in that it has almost full face colour as well as a huge rolling orange red flash. It shows all colours depending on the viewing angle.
regretted sale but I have Almond Blossom Opal ring so this one can be rehomed 11B6CE98-063B-4D74-A4F4-E7E007697F1B.jpeggrace anothers hand.9042B919-9E6F-4772-A2E5-2BA6C62F1499.jpegA1BCE6B2-49D4-4C3B-9CB3-A1D54D4B50E5.jpeg42A4955F-9B41-47BB-ACB7-DBBB9702B4DE.jpegB2EBA80D-C235-467C-890B-6A59960D373B.jpeg1F036F42-01BE-4E27-A145-016F0AC5BD74.jpegCE32D2F7-7CED-4FC1-8810-A835C511CD14.jpegFFD5DFE4-404D-47F1-937B-18B9E5AF0131.jpeg

Good luck with your sale, Bron!! She's massive. :mrgreen2:

I can't express how much I love this ring! I drool over it every time I see it in one of your posts. Alas, my budget won't allow for such a splurge, but man, am I going to be envious of the lucky new owner.

Wow, im super shocked you're letting her go! I'm going to play devils advocate here, and ask, are you sure? I tend to rethink rehoming pieces that were passed down to me as they feel like they should be offered to the next of kin. But that may just be me!

It's just since I've joined the forum, this ring has been your mascot, Brons mascot of sorts, so it's strange to imagine you without her!

Anyways, im sure you've pondered over this long & hard. The next owner will be one lucky opal lady!

Thanks @LemonMoonLex as much as I love this ring since acquiring Almond Blossom Opal ring Ive not worn it.
My DD, whose hand is the model, doesn’t wear rings.
So it’s living a lonely life in my jewellery box.
The “deal with DH” when I bought almond Blossom ring was that I would sell this Opal ring. It’s been a few years since that deal was struck ha ha.
But if I can find it a new loving home I’m happy to let it go.
