I am at work on Labor Day weekend! Argh!

I have a big project at work that must get finished by Tuesday, so I had to cancel a planned trip and come in early this morning. Now I discover that the outside contractor we''re using for some of this project isn''t going to be finished with their part until late tonight (it was due yesterday!) because of a computer crash. So now I am just sitting here doing nothing but unable to leave because I have to be available for questions and consultation with the outside group.

I''m sorry, but I just needed to vent.

Said outside project still hasn't shown up, so I'm stuck "watching" college football gamecasts on ESPN.com.

Said outside project finally arrived at 10:30 this morning. I'm spending a lovely day inside staring at my computer.

I hope the rest of you are enjoying Labor Day. Maybe I'll get tomorrow off.

I went in to woik on 30 Aug to start some month-end repotes. End of the month accounting carpola, you know. So I have a head start on tomorrow when the laggards and other sordid deployees waddle in to slow down the workflow. And with the start of the football season next weekend, you can write off Monday mornings. Some of us woik though.
