Hello Ladies

I am new here and I am thrilled that this forum exists! I take comfort knowing that I am not alone in this waiting game.

My boyfriend HAS the ring that we picked out together. I haven''t seen it yet, but I know that he has had it for about a month.
I am bad....I try to get info out of him regarding it''s whereabouts and how he intends to present it to me... he thinks it is hilarious that I have no idea and he just laughs and says "nope! nice try!"

pure evil haha. The only thing I know is that he is very happy with it, and that it is doing "just fine" (yes, I ask how it is doing sometimes).
As much it can drive me crazy trying to figure out how and when...we are both having a lot of fun in this "waiting" period.

To top it all off, now I have a forum of ladies to share my thoughts and detective work with! How exciting

I honestly have no idea how long he is planning on keeping that ring hostage, but I am hoping you are all right in saying that it wont be too long of a wait! I definitely plan on sharing the proposal story with you, as I know how fun they are to read during the waiting period.
In the meantime I am enjoying the anticipation and the remainder of my "girlfriend" status

i_heart_cushions - Yes, my boyfriend and I picked out the ring together. Once we were both happy with the setting and diamond he took care of all the boring details! haha lucky me The catch was that once he took over, I wasn''t allowed to see it or get any information about it...which is where my antsy behaviour came from.

leeNY - I agree with it being "our little secret" it is so fun keeping our friends in the dark when they question us about when we are planning on getting engaged! We usually just appease them with little comments about how busy we are with the house, and that we do intend to one day... then on our way home we get a pretty good giggle about it

Bia - After trying on many, many rings - I decided to go with the platinum six-prong knife edge tiffany style ring I tried a few versions of it in various stores, then we ordered it from a reputable custom jeweler in another province.
It was shocking to me that I fell in love with that ring because it is sooo different than anything I was looking at prior to going into the jewelers. I adore how it showcases the diamond.... classic and simply beautiful. It was the only one that felt "just right" for me. The diamond is Canadian, just over one carat, AGS 000, H&A, G color, VS1 clarity (I am such a newb to this jewelry thing... am I forgetting anything?) It is killing me that I haven''t seen it yet...but my boyfriend assured me that he is more than happy with the outcome!
