Thanks for all the dress opinions! I knew in my heart that I wanted #1 from my dress help post, but couldn't justify spending all the extra money until I got the quote from Pearl's Place. After Robbie found the style number for me, I found a shop in my area that carried Allure gowns and went in today. Lo and behold...they had my dress...in my size...in my colors! And the best part, they MATCHED Pearl's Place price (which was cheaper than RK bridal too), and I got to bring my dress home with me today! It's perfect!!!! I want to wear it all day!!!

wow, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Sabine, that was quick! I''m glad that you found the dress and that it needs no alternations (or does it need minor ones?). Congratulations. Just curious, what else have you done as far as planning goes? I know we''re getting married on the same day, and I''m just curious what you''ve done so far.

Wow!! Congratulations! I also was going to chime in on your other thread.. .#1 hands down...

Zoe: I definitely need alterations, considering I am 5' tall....and it probably also needs to be taken in slightly in the bust, but I was planning on getting the alterations done in Pittsburgh anyway. As for planning, since I just had this whole past summer off and we've already been engaged for a year, I've basically got the whole wedding planned at this point. I spent most of the summer in Pittsburgh off and on, so we found the reception site, set the date, found the ceremony site and met with the priest, found a photographer and dj, found a florist, picked bridesmaid dresses, picked a cake, pretty much all the big stuff. I was so lucky to have 3 months to dedicate to planning, not to mention a best friend in the area who had just gone through the planning process as well

. I had some trouble finding a reception site, but after that, everything else has just been falling into place. How are your plans coming along?

Thanks for all the congratulations everyone!

My plans are going well. We''ve gotten the big things done too:

photographer booked and engagement photos taken
DJ booked
my dress, veil, and wrap ordered
my sister''s dress ordered (she''s my only attendant)
asked one of my FI''s friends to be the best man
ceremony and reception site booked (it''s at the same place)
hotel rooms blocked off near the wedding venue
rehearsal dinner planning is coming together
my wedding band is here (we ordered it when we ordered my engagement ring)
we''ve decided where to go for our honeymoon (Portugal, well, the Azores Islands)

I''m so happy for you! That gown is DEFINITELY made for you. Wear it in great health and happiness!
