I wasn't going to do it, but I decided to buy myself a gift with some of the tax refund. My hubby bought himself something, so I figured it was just fair for me to get something too.

I wanted to keep it fairly inexpensive but still get something unique.

This what I found:

It is a 14K white gold diamond circle with a rose gold bail. The center diamond is .16 carats and there are sixteen 1-pointers in the circle, for a total of approximately .33 carats. The diamonds are H-I, SI1-2. The chain is 14K white gold, 18 inches long.

What do you think? Did I do a good job?

***edited to correct the center diamond size from .10 to .16 carats. I got too carried away with posting and typed in the wrong numbers.

And since I know you all want to see a neck shot...here goes:

Extremely purdy! Looks terrific around your lovely neck.

Lovely! The centre stone looks way bigger than that! I like the circle of diamonds and the two tone look. Very eye-catching - contratulations.

Good for you, it''s lovely!!

wow i really like that!! everyone deserves a treat sometime!

i love rose gold and it looks very blingy for the relatively small ctw! at the risk of sounding ICY WHITE DIAMONDS, do you mind noting around how much you paid and where you got it?

very nice and congrats...good find!

It''s perfect! Gorgeous and not too expensive, now that''s my idea of perfection!

I think you did a fine job--it''s perfect for that "touch of sparkle aorund the neck" thing we all need.

It''s very pretty!

I would love to have a necklace like that.

SO pretty! And it looks great on you.

What a nice choice. It looks so pretty on your neck.

Actually the center is a .16 carat. I corrected my original post to reflect the correct carat weight. I was so excited to post pictures that I didn''t catch my error.

I knew you would appreciate the rose gold Mara. I went in to purchase a rose & white gold diamond butterfly pendant that I have had my eye on, but I didn''t like it once I had it on my neck.

This pendant was a bit more than I wanted to spend but sometimes the best things are worth spending a bit more.

The chain was purchased separately since the original chain was quite fragile and delicate-looking, and also a bit shorter than I prefer. You would be surprised at the difference in appearance between a 17" and an 18" chain. I liked the way the new chain sparkled too.

The pendant with original chain was $350 and the new chain was $90. I purchased both at Jared''s. I know some of you consider them to be on par with "maul" stores since they are owned by Sterling, but they have always done right by me and I have never been unhappy with their quality or service.

Thank you for all the compliments on my new sparklie...and my neck.

Do you know my husband hasn''t even noticed I have a new necklace? Men! Or maybe it is just that I have so much jewelry that he doesn''t notice when I have something new? Is that good or bad?

HI:

So pretty! Great choice!

cheers--Sharon

I think it''s just a guy thing!! I''m often happy when he doesn''t notice my sparkies!!! It''s only when he notices them then I know I''m in big trouble!!!

I wish I could wear necklaces. I freak out about necklaces and turtlenecks. They make me feel confined. I have been able to wear a necklace for a little while but usually I sweat and get weird.

I am completely nuts.

That''s too bad Ame. You are missing out on some nice jewelry pieces. Have you tried a longer chain, like a 20 or 24 inch? That way it would not be as close to your neck and may feel less confining.

I don''t have many pendants but I have found myself liking them more lately. Probably because I have so many rings and not enough fingers to wear them all. I have this new one, a 3-stone bezel-set gold & white gold set that I have had for 3 years, and a blue topaz multiple stone pendant that I got last year. I should take pictures of those and post in a new thread.

Awesome necklace!!! I really like the uniqueness of the rose gold bail, and it looks great on the neck! Congrats for treating yourself!!!!
