I'd say so -- though I don't know how early they mined them in Iran & Afghanistan. Sure is an eye-catching lizard, isn't he? I have a small 18K lizard w/emerald eyes that I bought in an estate jewelry store, much less splashy than this hot fellow, but I love it. Will have to put up a pic of him sometime. Every time I wore it to work some wit cracked, "Hey, you have a bug on your shoulder!"

That would be a great way to set them! Are you thinking of a CS instead of diamonds? I would -- in fact you could make them detachable & wear the CS alone or even put the pearls w/ other stones. Now you've made me want to go out & buy some pearls!!!
