i found this strange rock i never seen it anywhere else

hello stone experts

i just found this rock laying between other rocks in the the garden
i googled everwhere and i whent to the local stone store
there is no information i found
i thought this would be the right place to ask what it could be
it is black but it turns gold when you turn it
its also very smooth like it has been polished
hope to get some info
