I had my lunch interview today and it went really well. They offered me the job! It''s on a temp basis for the first 90 days, but assuming I do the job well, it will become permanent after that! I''m so excited! I start on the 18th!

Congratulations! I'm so happy that this worked out for you!

Thanks everyone!

I got a smoked turkey sandwich. It seemed like the safest thing on the menu, but at one point when the one guy was talking to me I definitely took a bite and a long string of turkey came out of the sandwich. Oh well, I tried my best

When we were all done eating, the one guy made a comment that he was impressed I'd finished my sandwich. I thought it was kind of weird since it's not like it was an overly large sandwich or anything...He didn't mean anything by it I'm sure, but I'm getting really sensitive to stuff like that lately.

My dad made a comment a few weeks ago about how I look like I've gained weight, and my mom keeps making comments about how she's sure I'll drop some weight before the wedding (uh...wasn't going to try to...) and now I'm noticing that my pants that I bought before I lost 20 lbs a few years ago are starting to get tight. Ugh. I think it's time to start the wedding diet.

Congrats!!! YAY!

Ugh, those comments are so unfair!

You looked great in your wedding dress pics, and stress does tend to add pounds, but try not to let them get to you. There is nothing wrong with eating a whole sandwich!!!

Haha thanks. I guess they''re used to interviewing girls who order salad and then don''t finish it. I don''t know if it''s stress that''s adding pounds or if it''s living w/ FI. He definitely has very different eating habits than I''m used to and I know that I''m definitely eating more and at different times than I was before. I asked him last night if we can join a gym after we move if we still feel like we''re ok with money even after having to pay more rent. We should be fine, though, since I haven''t been working all summer and will be now. He said yes and I''m going to hold him to it. I''m not the only one whose pants are getting tight

We both gained weight moving in together. We''re "nesting" plus there''s more food.

We joined a gym together earlier this year and were able to get a special "Family" rate. I highly recommend it! We figured we''d make each other feel guilty about not going, but alas, we''re more like "want to go tomorrow instead"... BAD! But it is nice to be able to go to the same place when we do go.

Yeah, I''m hoping that we''ll encourage eachother, but we might just end up skipping together too. I''m pretty sure I won''t go continuously if I don''t have someone to go with.

Congrats Robbie! How exciting.

I know about the whole weight thing. I''m watching what I eat now that it less than a year from when we hope to get married. Since I ordered my dress already I can''t gain any weight, but I want to loose like 5 pounds. I really don''t need to loose the weight, but would really like to tone up. In HS I was so toned from being a dancer on our dance team...hope I can get close to that again.

Congratulations!! Did you end up getting a job around the ytown area?

congratulations! Thats such a weird comment to make about the sandwich

Alli, I got a job in ytown! I think it''s only like 7 miles away from the apartment.

CONGRATS ON THE JOB!!!

You do NOT need to go on any sort of wedding diet! You are itty bittty bitty.. And adorable.. My parents make comments about my weight too.. I guess they think they''re being helpfuil.. but they''re being stupid.. and mean..

Awesome! Congrats again!! You''ll have to post when you start looking at dresses around here. I think I''m going to start next month. I hear Brides by Demetrius is pretty nice in boardman.

Awe, thanks MellissaSue.

Alli, I''ve actually been looking at dresses for the last few weeks. I''ve been everywhere around here. Demetrios has beautiful dresses, but they were all way out of my price range. The one I loved there was $2500. Davids is definitely the least expensive, but I didn''t find anything I wanted there. Alfred Angelo is probably the least expensive after Davids. I thought the quality was nicer there also. The next least expensive was Irene''s Bridal. She has gorgeous dresses and they''re not horribly expensive, especially considering she includes alterations with her prices. For comparisons sake, I found a dress that I liked there for $875 which included alterations. The same dress cost $1200 in my hometown, and that price didn''t include alterations. She carries a lot of Jasmine dresses which I absolutely love.

We''re really lucky that there are sooo many bridal shops so close to us. I even went out to Sharon, PA, and some places in Pittsburgh, but didn''t really find anything that felt like the dress, so I''m having it made by Julius Bridal! I''m combining my absolute favorite bodice, which is from a dress at Alfred Angelo (I didn''t like the cutouts on the bottom of the skirt) with my favorite type of ballgown skirt in a pleated style.

I had a dress thread a while ago: My Dress Thread

And here''s the thread on the custom dress: Custom Dress Thread

They''re sending out fabric swatches tomorrow, so once I make a definite decision on the fabric, all I have to do is order and go get measured! I''m really excited.

sorry that I''m chiming in late.
just wanted to say CONGRATS!

Thank you
