Ok...if you had some ugly earrings with about 10 to 12 1pt-ers in them (maybe 2pters) what would you do with it? I love everyone''s recycle projects on here, and those earrings were a gift to myself when I was single. They just aren''t my style.....wrong metal color, strange channel set.

I think 1pt might be too small to do anything with. I could have them rhodium plated to make them white to match the rest of my jewelery (they are J hoops) which would be the cheapest & most utilitarian option.

I thought of doing a scattered diamond band (ala WF) but I think just buying their ring flat out would be cheaper with better ACA melee.

Anyhoo. I may just let them sit. Or rhodium plate.

Thanks!

Pictures? I would start with the cheapest solution, rhodium plating, if you think you''d wear them. My old wedding set which has over 20 2pt stones in it and one .26ct just languishes away in a box too. The thing is, it''s fairly expensive to reset as they charge you to unmount the stones on a per stone basis and same for remounting. I figure any project at all is going to be a minimum of $1000. No incentive there for me.

Just give em to me! I wear gold

That''s what I would do as well. Custom is expensive and I would be surprised if you saved money by reusing your stones.

Hey! those are my earrings! LOL...I think I will just rhodium plate them. The melee isn''t good enough to pay for custom. I could buy a WF scatter ring with their gorgeous stones cheaper. (Not that I can right now...but the point is....I COULD. LOL)
