Ok so ill admit im a little stumped! I dont know what to do now, we cant look at places to have the wedding until we return from washington. Even with that were not sure we will be living in san diego at the time of the wedding! Im just curious if anyone else has been in this sorta pickle? I guess what I really want to know is whats the next thing I can do for our wedding is there like a list or something becuase im not even sure what goes into a wedding at this point!

Our wedding is about a year away so with a year away what should I, could I do to prep for it?

I second Jcrow''s theknot recommendation! Also, most wedding magazines and planning books have similar checklists/timelines in them. What I did was grab up about 4 of them and sit in front of my computer with a spreadsheet open, and type in all the checklist items that applied to my wedding, not putting in the ones that didn''t apply. Then I added in all the random little details that I could think of that applied to my wedding only (family things etc) into roughly the time frame that I want to get them done, so now I have a master To Do list personalized to my wedding all in one place! I added a description column too, where I''m writing out possibilities for things I haven''t decided yet, and then can keep all my final decisions all listed in one place. I haven''t actually, um, CHECKED OFF hardly anything yet (wedding is next June) but I feel so much more relaxed looking at that list and knowing that that''s just about everything there is to do, in the approximate order I need to get it done! This is long and rambly, but hope that helps a little!

Photographers are a good thing to book early.. and they are fun to look at websites!

You can also look at BM dresses online. This was an ongoing obsession of mine

what i found worked best was to set up the knot list dealeo, then head over to backpackit.com. there you can set up free lists.

i did the knot until my wedding list started to get more specific to my wedding (around 9 months maybe?). then i took the basic remaining list from the knot that applied to me and added my own things and combined to have one list at backpackit.

the great thing about backpackit''s site/list is that you can email specific people (FI for instance) so they have access to the list. AND, you can do several lists. for example, i have one list for me and one list for FI. we can each cross off what we accomplish and the two lists look less intemidating than one giant one.

good luck & happy planning!!
