Hi guys. I have been on this site for such a long time and this is my first posting. I have enjoyed reading everyone''s story and looking at everyone''s beautiful rings. This is truly the best site I have ever been on. I could go on and on and on....

Anywho-my boyfriend and I have been together for about 5 years. I have two boys from a previous marriage and he is, in all sense of the word, their dad. I always say, if you can find a man that will love you and another''s man children unconditionally, you got a keeper. But their biological father has never been in the picture so it worked out very well.

I am truly the luckiest woman in the world. We have a wonderful life together and to make it more wonderful we have been talking alot about getting married. This is going to be the best year ever. And recently we have started looking at rings very hard. We have been on this site, Whiteflash, GOG, you name it we have been on it. And he is so good-he has the carat weight, the dimensions, the color, the girdle, yada yada all under his belt. He knows more than I do and I thought I knew alot. I am so proud of the guy!!!!

Soooooooooooooooo-I think, no wait, I know he is buying the ring THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH-I think I am going to throw up! I can''t eat, I can''t sleep

and I am like doing my nails everyday. Making sure they are filed and not chipped, making sure the polish is pretty so I can have, of course, a pretty hand shot. HOW IS GOD''S NAME CAN WOMEN WAIT LIKE THIS???????????? I am slowly, slowly, slowly going insane!!!!!

So are you thinking it might be a Valentine''s proposal??....or something out of the blue?

He will do it before Valentine''s Day. At least I hope so! I wonder if our boys will be involved. I think they talk about getting married more than we do. Sweet little crumbsnatchers

Oh and on a totally different note-how about I got a peridot ring in silver from Tiffany''s and it turned my finger ring in about half a day? I guess it doesn''t make a difference who''s ring it is-silver turns your finger green! I have to return it-and it''s the only one I have found that is not in a yellow setting. What the frick???

Do you know what he is planning to purchase for you? Would love to see some of the things you all were looking at...

As for the waiting...ugh! There are times I am really anxious and other times very excited. I know my wait is a bit longer than yours...(sometime in the next 6 months)..Hang in there and have fun dreaming.

Any idea on what your ring will be??

My SO set a 2006 timeframe and has been dropping hints about proposing next summer, so I'm guessing I have about 3 to 7 months to wait. We've started looking at rings on our own and we have a shopping trip planned when I'll go home for Spring Break, and it's driving me nuts too!
