My husband and I will be on ''What Would You Do?'', probably NOT tonite, but sometime soon.

Unfortunately, when we were ''caught'' in their scenario I was wearing a velour track suit, had barely combed my hair and had on only a swipe of lip gloss. I told them they couldn''t use me, but my husband was interview extensively. The scenario was an extremely abusive customer in a diner. My husband was the ONLY ONE in the diner who went to her defense.

I told them I would SUE THEM if they didn''t tile me out in the show.

I could''ve sworn I saw this episode the other day .. unless they have done more than one show on the abusive boyfriend in a diner situation?

Does your husband have dark hair?

Okay, I''m officially flipping out!

Trying to sell stuff on CL before next weekend (because of move) and every potential buyer seems to evaporate into thin air.

Also, in addition to moving the regular stuff. . .I''m transporting THREE fish tanks across a ferry and have to magically set all of them up that same day or my fish will be stuck in little cups overnight freezing without their heaters. Ugh.
MC- Deep breaths. I am in the same boat. Couch? MUST go, I have a HUGE 5 piece sectional with a chaise lounge and a queen sleeper that is only a few years old. It is GORGEOUS but I have to part with it, doesn''t fit in the new living room. No takers on CL. Boo!! Fingers crossed for you!

On a happier front? I packed the rest of the house last night!!!! Can I get a What What!? <---I know, trust me. Also? Today is the big 2-8 for me. Looking forward to seeing all my friends tonight to celebrate and play some Bingo.

No, the scenario was the WAITRESS was being abused by a customer. My husband will ALWAYS stick up for the underdog---he was ready to get up and escort the customer out of the diner...whether he wante4d to leave or not

Love Bed Bath & Beyond. DD got a nice set of knives from her Aunt, my Sil. She wasn''t loving them, set of 3 knives, the handles were metal but with holes?? So food get caught up in them.. SIL is normally the cheapie in the family, so I said let''s take them back and see what else we can get...
$200, so she got a set of 2 Henkels chef knives, a Cuisinart Panni maker, a Cuisnart toaster oven, and a wand mixer... Only had to pony up an extra 30 bucks!!!! I was like this is a score!!! The lady at the cash register said nice stuff, no wonder you exchanged what you got!!!

I had a meltdown at work yesterday. Best part was it was over the phone, because I don''t actually work in an office.

It''s been a long time coming. They just keep piling more and more on and I was gone from home more and more and more.

I scared the snot out of them and now they are magically reducing my work load to something more manageable.

We will see how long this lasts.

Huh. . .I was tossing old cookbooks into a thrift box and decided to check one on Amazon. Turns out it's OOP and the only new copy is going for hundreds! Turns out it's some cult-classic. lol I put my used copy up (for a lot less, of course). . .hopefully someone buys it.

Thanks Zoe!! I know, I was really surpised I did as well. Now? I just have to wait until next week when the movers come and get the boxes out of here!!

So, last night we played Bingo- as per our Thursday ritual. Guess who won the big bingo? My dad. $500 and he insisted I take it because it was my bday. What an awesome Dad.

I just *love* your Dad, but then you know that already. He''s really such a sweetheart!

My brother''s girlfriends base in Afghanistan where she is stationed was attacked a couple hours ago. They were talking on the phone (today is his birthday) and all she had time to say was "Gotta go, rocket attack". She''s ok thankfully!

I''m so happy for you Haven! You''re going to have such a marvelous time!! Driving there IS an adventure though. Be careful. It''ll wig you out at first. It can be very disorienting...

We''ve been looking for a new dog to take the giant hole left by the untimely passing of our big goofy black lab Duke. Well, we finally found him! He''s about 3 and he''s big, black, laid-back, and friendly to everyone. We get him Tuesday. (We couldn''t take him right home, because 2 humans and a giant dog do NOT fit well in a Miata) Anyway, kudos to the lab rescue here - they really worked at finding us the right dog. Nice, dedicated people.

We ended up selling tons of stuff on CL and made some $, but wow, what a pain. Someone bought my .50 ctw studs which *finally* worked out decently after relisting them on and off since December. I hadn''t worn them once since upgrading to my ACAs so it made sense to sell the smaller ones - it just took forever before someone was willing to pay close to asking!

Now. . . what to buy with the money!

Anyway, today is the big moving day!!!

I''m so sorry for your loss, but it sounds like you''ve found a perfect new addition to the family! I have an extra special spot in my heart for black labs. They are the most wonderful dogs in the world, if you ask me.

Thank you! I''m very excited, and very grateful that my husband will be doing all of the driving. I don''t imagine I''d adapt very well to the whole driving-on-the-other-side-of-the-road business.

Had a mini heart attack last night when we came home to find that the dog had chewed up another book as well as A BOTTLE OF IBUPROFEN!

We frantically counted the pills and freaked out trying to determine whether our precious baby was going to OD. Thank GOD she was/is fine.

Once calm ensued, we did have a laugh. The dog had chewed up a book on personal finance. Nothing like reading about money and debt to make a gal want to end it all.

Had to laugh so that we didn''t cry. She removed both items from the desk in our room, they were not laying on the floor. I think we''re going to go back to crating her when we leave, for her own safety.

I''m glad she''s okay, Trill. That must have been terrifying!

Our pup doesn''t chew anything up anymore, but when we first adopted her we quickly learned that she dislikes Ayn Rand, Jeffrey Eugenides, and (gasp!) Margaret Mitchell. She''s lucky she didn''t get at any of my first editions.

Oh, and she also chewed up the cover to my most recent edition of Miss Manner''s big etiquette guide. DH had a good laugh at that--he asked me if I was going to expect her to hand write an apology letter. Ha. Ha.

A zit, inside my ear. GREAT.

It hurt. I haven''t had one there in years and yearrrrs. owwie

Well, you can forgive her Margaret Mitchell (we all have our little quirks after all), since she had the discernment to chew up Ayn Rand. GOOD DOG!!!! BISCUIT!!!
