Swedish - I am right there with you. Actually, I''m boiling over it.

Please tell me who in their right mind would pass out their realtor cards at a funeral?

i advertise my nursing home at local funeral homes. it might sound crass, but we get business when a caregiver passes away suddenly and the family needs somewhere for the other spouse to go.

nursing home I can understand, and you have consistent advertising. But to be passing out your card, as a realtor? not uh.

I consider what you a doing a service to take care of an immediate need.

I just cannot fathom how someone would think it was a smart business decision to offer their condolences and then hand over their card.

I NEED to get one of these:
It's a miniature horse, perhaps the smallest around. Seriously, I want to own one.

The only thing that would make it acceptable to me is if the person were trying to give someone some form of way to contact them... like an old acquaintance.... to get back in touch. That''s the ONLY thing that would make it acceptable.

Love it! I wonder if my complex would allow this. From the pics it looks about the same size as Oscar (and it would probably bite fewer of my neighbors than The Demon... ).

Zoe - they are so cute in person! And you can teach them to drive little carts! I want one someday really badly!

I have a stuffed horse that's probably bigger than this little guy

I just searched and found a miniature horse rescue organization near me, and they have lots of little horsies for adoption...

Someone -- please stop me before I do something crazy!

I just read the latest edition of "People" and they had an article about Einstein, the horse pictured above. I gasped out loud when I saw him (and got some funny looks from people nearby). He''s the most adorable thing!

I would LOVE to have a mini horse or a Shetland pony. DF, what''s the difference, exactly?

I saw this baby on the news a few weeks ago and immediately turned to DH and said I needed one.

He said NO.

I wonder just how long the people down the street plan to drive that truck with a bad U-joint. Squeak, squeaksqueak, sqeakksquawksquawksquawk, squawksquawksquawksquawksquawksquawksquawksquawk... I live on a corner lot, where there is a stop sign. I have been hearing that d*** truck squawk like that since March. If it were my vehicle, it would have been repaired ASAP. If for some reason I had decided not to fix it, it would surely have dropped its drive shaft on the road a few months ago.

From another discussion board:
I got 3 new minis Saturday and they have beat each other up, one is lame and has a cut on above the back of the hoof, hung herself and would have been dead if we came 10 min later with the trailer to pick them up. The stud kicked the pregnant mare in the side, and now they have shunned the lame one out of the herd. So I also have the vet coming out to look at her and the pregnant one.

i just went to the vending machine at work, wanting some snackwells cookies. a pack was hanging on by a thread, so i decided to go for it, since maybe i''d get lucky and score two. wrong. i got one, and the next one started hanging by a thread. so i decided to buy the item next to it that was snagging it. out comes 2 packs of cookies, and two packs of sprees! i felt like i hit the vending machine lotto!

It''s a miracle I''m not super hungover right now.

I just got back from buying yarn from a woman off Craigslist. I took $60 with me and figured that should be enough. Thank goodness that''s all the money I took! I swear, this woman has about $15,000 worth of yarn in her basement. You know those clear bins you can get that have the tops that are flaps that fold into each other? She had like 25 or 30 of those FULL of yarns. FULL. Considering even the least expensive yarns she had retail at about $4 each and the more expensive ones $10+ each, it was EASILY that much. And this is after she''s put up what she DOESN''T want to sell.

I told DH about it and she asked if she needed to be on Hoarders. Maybe........ But I got a steal of a deal today!

Spurred on by his success with the purchase of the bedroom lamps, my husband just called to tell me he bought a tree... Wow. In no time at all I''ve created a monster.
