I just wanna say -- the random comments thread

So DH talked me into selling our dresser and chest of drawers (the ones I use) so that we dont have to move them. They're 11 years old and a classic style, but not the greatest quality. His reasoning was that they'll one go down in value and that we could purchase similar quality or better later for not much money. So I went for it. I put it on Craigslist for more money than I thought they'd bring, but less than I originally wanted to list them for. I'm now kicking myself. I've had FOUR people ask to come see them. I've got two scheduled today. Heck, they were still full of my clothes an hour ago. I had to go empty them!

What DH maybe doesn't realize is that this means I'm kicking him out of our other set of dresser/chest of drawers which is antique and so much more attractive than the mass produced pieces I was using. SUCKER. :cheeky:

So far I still have a job but d-bag boss is giving me the silent treatment. He's obviously really mature like that

RT, your boss sucks. I hope you hear back from one of the companies you applied to today!

Princess, the picture of your bed frame made me laugh out loud. I've done the same thing--multiple times, actually (you think I'd learn).

No kidding! Thanks

He probably would get more productivity out of people if he didn't walk around muttering that we were all retarded under his breathe if we do something he doesn't like. He needs to chilllll out or he is going to have a heart attack or something soon

Haha, NEL, glad it made you laugh. I was looking at it thinking, "I swear I'm actually smart!" So what did I do? I took a picture of my stupidity. I think it's hilarious.

I'm getting a Kindle! Yay!

Fml, I have the worst cramps EVER! Like wanna puke, wanna be at home in my jammies so I don't have to feel like a hot mess at work kind of cramps. But since I got sent home Monday for the most ridiculous of reasons :angryfire: I am stuck here because I need to make up the hours (and no, I don't get sick or personal days  ) Needless to say, the pms is not helping matters, UGHHH! (Sorry if TMI for the dudes on the forum lol)

Needs the following:

1) Hammer
2) something squishy :saint:
3) Free reign to beat said 'squishy' thing until I feel better.

Thanks for letting me vent. Please, carry on.

I am heading off on a last minute trip to Amsterdam for the weekend! Yeah baby! Anyone heading to the Lowlands festival? Missydebby? noelwr?

Tuckins -- Would you mind sharing your recipe for your lasagna?

Princesss -- I love the pics!

I can't wait for this weekend because we're going to see my college roommates who I haven't seen in well over a year. :appl:

We're moving furniture today. I'm really sad.

Ugh, the dude sitting next to me keeps taking sips of his drink and basically treating it like it's mouth wash. Not gargling, but swishing it all around his mouth. Um EWWWW. He did it with water and scotch!

Ut oh, here he comes back.

You will love it!! I absolutely love mine!!

I have downloaded no less than ten books for free in the last two weeks. I check Amazon for the free bestsellers on Kindle at least 3 x's a week. There are some good ones out there (and a whole lot of trash, so you do have to be discerning).

PSA: Ladies (and gentlemen) who like your rings a little loose, don't wear them in the ocean. Heck, even if your rings fit snugly. Even if you forget to take them off, the short walk back to your house/hotel room is worth it.

(The Atlantic claimed my wedding band yesterday as it slammed me with its waves. ;()

Thank you, Zoe! *hugs* It was a great, classic band. I loved it so much, I'll get another just like it.

(To clarify, it wasn't the band in my icon, it was my plain band.)

EB,
I am so sorry!!! That stinks.

They're usually ones that might be a little older and they may only be free for a day or two. I often wonder if they're free for "x" number of downloads and then at a cost again. I'm not sure, but I've gotten into the habit of checking really regularly and it's been working out!

I'm so sorry, EB!

crasru - here's my thought. The already vacant ones are scary... they might be gross. The ones that have just been used have been deemed usable by someone else... and that someone else flushed.

This is usually my thinking (most often confirmed by the fact that I've already looked in the other stall :knockout: )....
But in my office building it is a far better reason:
Each women's restroom has 2 stalls. One stall in each of the restrooms has the gap where the door attaches facing the sink (the other faces a wall) and the gap is large enough that when the stall is occupied and the door closed, every woman who walks up to the sink can see EVERYTHING (and no matter how hard you try it happens -- have to get papertowls from the one and only dispenser).

There is an awesome opportunity opening up at work and I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want it.

Then go get it!

I just read your update this morning and I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Have fun, enjoy life -- you deserve it.

I'm working on it! This would definitely help me enjoy life - it'd be challenging and fun. Of course, now it's going to take them ages to make up their minds and for me to even see if it'll be a possibility for me, but oh boy. *crosses fingers and toes*

Berry - we are moving home, and it sucks. I'm more upbeat today though as there is a positive light at the end of this tunnel.... at least there seems to be.

ETA - GOOD LUCK PRINCESS

:errrr: :errrr: :errrr: My worst nightmare.

I seriously have a thing with public potties as it is. I don't like others to hear me, or see me. I hate using public potties.
