I just wanna say -- the random comments thread

AUTUMN - we are twin procrastinators. Do you know what I'm going to look at the day before my test? :tongue: 05 F150 extended cab 4x4 charcoal on tires with a toolbox that has a cooler rack. Do you KNOW how excited I am about THAT?

Amber - I'll keep you in my thoughts, and hopefully the test goes well and everything is a-ok.

I did all the right things before my husband and his helper pruned our trees and pulled tons of weeds in the back of our property. I had the Poisin Ivy Control people here to make sure what we thought was P.I., wasn't. They said nope! you don't have any. Go ahead and pull those weeds.

My husband is at the V.A. hospital right now to see an E.R. doc and get the same prescription for Cortisone and an antihistamine that he took four or five years ago when he last had it. He's sprouting new little patches of blistery rash every day,

So much for the Poisin Ivy Control people :confused: . And this is what they do for a living?

Ughh.. are you for serious?! Oh, lawd. Tell N that I hope that he feels better soon.....you know, I have heard that Vodka (not in school, but from some 'doctors' I have worked with) can help with the pain. :naughty: LOL. Poor Man.

Once, at Camp (Strawderman), I was on a hike in the Allegheny mountains with my girlfriends and we stopped to eat some food. When we hike, normally, we try to make our own path, too. So this wasn't something that was well groomed or was on a trail. Let me preface with I AM SUPER ALLERGIC to PI. Anyway, apparently it was all over me and all over my hands, which I used to eat a sandwich, apple, ect. The next day I was in the hospital with it in my mouth, on my hands, eyes, face, chest..EVERYWHERE. So, yeah, I feel N's pain, GG. I have also concluded that I am most definitely who they had in mind when coming up with Murphys Law.
 
My dad is coming to town in November! YAY!

Definitely towed. At least it wasn't stolen. Now the incredible battle over whether or not the tax office properly filed my paperwork will ensue! :|

Good news? My best friend made me an awesome 'happy birthday to my Accident-prone friend' basket and I, thankfully, had Tide Togo wipes and Shout wipe and go things...so? I got that stain out. Small victory for the day, makes me happy. :bigsmile:

I heard about this on the news while I was on the treadmill this morning. Throwing acid in your own face??? Unbelievable. And just sick.

that today has been one of those days. My cousin (who is younger than me) just got pregnant with her husband. And while I am ecstatically happy for them; I'm a little bummed too. I know it is completely ridiculous but I feel like it will be old news when it finally happens for me. And I also know that is not true...I must be going nuts! I'm completely aware that dh and I are saving so we will be comfortable when it finally happens for us and that is what is holding us back and I'm ok with that. I'd rather not be in debt when I have a child and not have anyone besides us too excited about it, than be scrambling to make ends meet. I'm so irrational right now, someone just slap me...

And then today at work, the secretary here heard what hours my dh works (1-9:30 pm) and I mentioned that we then stay up until about midnight together to have quality time together (this includes working out together for an hour) so he is probably sleeping until 12 if you need to call him for anything (he does odd jobs for my company as well for side money). So she then snaps "Well I stay up that late too working and I am still here early in the morning". Last time I checked, just because one person wants to be a workaholic does not mean that we all are. And also, he is not a regularly employed worker here either; he does it to help the company out. So maybe, JUST MAYBE, YOU SHOULD GET OFF MY FREAKIN BACK ABOUT IT!!!

On a more happier note: DH got us free screening tickets for a week before it opens- Legends of the Guardian in 3d...should be really good! Also we are going to a soccer game on Saturday night, another church orientation on Sunday morning, and then going to a broncos vs. seahawks game I won tickets for on Sunday afternoon! It will be a really fun weekend!

I'm sorry your co-worker is completely insensitive. Did she miss the part where he works afternoon/evenings? He's working a full schedule there, he has to rest somewhere. Unfortunately people are jerks.

I know you really are trying to give me more time by making the day drag. As thoughtful as that is of you, I'd much rather that the more time be given to me later, so it can be whilst I am cleaning the crap out of my car, vs now. Thank you.
 
Omg omg omg omg, one of my coworkers brought his children into the office today and this little one, I think he must be 14 months, he GRINNED at me and then baby fever started to invade so I quickly stuffed a brownie in my mouth and tried to ignore them lol
It was hard though!

This guy called me and texted me (complete with the word "Sweetie") within 12 hours of meeting me. And then asked me to call him when I got off work. I met you YESTERDAY. A) I have a life. B) What makes you think you're special enough for me to drop everything? C) You didn't even wait 12 hours!

My friends think it's sweet. Maybe y'all will, too. I think it's desperate and clingy and I have no room in my life for desperation or clinginess.

Gypsy--I love the way baby otters look like disgruntled old men. I want a gaggle of them.
 
Awww, otters have got to be one of the cutest animals ever. The first time I ever went to the zoo I could barely tear myself away from them-swimming and diving and just being so playful! I always thought it would be fun to be an otter..float on my back all day and hang out.
