Finding a relatively affordable cocktail dress is a pain in the butt. I am going to a fundraiser on the 25th and need to find a dress. Unfortunately, it seems that dresses were NOT designed with budgets in mind. All the beautiful ones are SUPER expensive! Grrrrr...

I just got back from a week in Mexico, laying by the pool and drinking too much. It was wonderful, but all it did was make me realize how much my life sucks. Not my personal life, that's great. My work life. It sucks. They always tell us to go on vacation/take time off so that we don't "burn out". I don't think they realize that it makes us hate our jobs more.

Off my pity pot now. Back to regular scheduled programming.

I had a great night last night. SO got me a new hat, we went riding on the ATV, I read some of The Moonstone and some of a scary book I'm reading, studied, etc.

This morning... poop. I'm missing a shirt SO gave me that is a really nice shirt. Just POOF missing. Can't find it anywhere. Didn't have a good breakfast. And now poop at work. Just BLAH.

Have you tried Nordstrom's Rack? You could get lucky.

I second that, no joke. Your dollar can go a long way there. I LURVE (and quite possibly would bedazzle something in NR honor) that store. Hooray for good buys!!

I live in NC right now, and haven't been to NYC in yeaaaaaars. I can't wait. And I'm super jealous of your Vegas trip - I think I'm going in February-ish. I've never been.

My dear, you MUST remedy that. Nothing like a girls trip to Vegas- it, I would say, is very good for the soul. I don't recommend staying for more than 2 or 3 days, you almost need a day to recover when you get back you are almost always so tired. Oh, I am excited for you- NYC and Vegas, we are going to the same places just opposite times...you know what they say? Great minds...
