I just wanna say -- the random comments thread

more ::HUGS::, SDL.

Renee - wow. unbelievable. :nono:

Hugs to you SDL!

Sweet dreams.... Nighty night dear one.. xoxox

SDL - Thoughts to you, I know no matter how much time passes, it is always hard. ((HUGS))

It's my dad's birthday. I feel bad b/c we haven't planned anything. We haven't planned anything because he is a pessimist, and whenever I try to plan his birthday he gets this mad look and says it's just another day, and gets in a bad mood. What do I do?

My random comment of the day:

The idea of writing our wedding ceremony when my fiance is on a plane going away from me (for a work conference) was pie in the sky!

What a thoughtful daughter you are, Renee. It sounds like you put so much thought and effort into planning the roast for your dad, and it's a shame that his other family members couldn't be there for him.

Agreed. I have similar stories to share about family too, and I know how much it hurts even though you do your best to shrug it off. But what is apparent is how wonderful a man your father, who also raised an equally wonderfully daughter. The best of nature and nuture coming together!

Awww...shucks...*shuffles feet on ground*. I know I need to let it go and normally I would be able to but for some reason I am having a really hard time. Maybe I will tomorrow. :naughty: All that really matters is that Dad had a good time and really did enjoy himself and for that, I am happy.

My Mother would have been 71 today.. ::) I have missed her every single day for the last 36 years.. ♥

Huge hugs....

Double hugs. Group hug!

I'm so sorry SDL. I know how you must feel. I've missed my favorite man, my Dad, for the last thirty one yrs. I have that same pain in my heart.

I SO agree with kama! I know what a wonderful man your Dad is and I'm sure he was thrilled that you took the time to plan and organize such a memorable celebration for his 50th. He knows it was all because of you. That's all that matters.

I had a double apicoectomy yesterday and today I look like someone inflated my face. I'm going back to bed.......

You poor thing!!! Huge hugs!!! That sounds very painful. Hoping the swelling goes down soon. Nighty night.... :snore: :halo:

I'm sorry, I don't even know what that is. But it does sound painful - I hope you are doing better today.

I just love my PS friends! I am feeling better. In fact it was the first day I could really talk without feeling the stitches tugging in my mouth, and talk I did! I made up for lost time today. LOL!

Steal, an oral surgeon removed the tips of two roots on a back molar under my cheekbone and cleaned out two abscesses I didn't even know I had. It was a lot of stitching, bruising and swelling but I'm getting better!

Muah. Just <3 you ladies. :)

Guess what?! I just found out, one of my best friends from childhood is going to be in New Orleans this weekend from DC- just so happens that yours truly will be there as well. Can you say excited? I can. :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

mmmmm pizza for dinner :D

I need new music....

Went out for what I thought was just two friends meeting for drinks last night. We had fun, like we normally do, then as we were leaving we hugged and he KISSED me.

I was completely caught off guard. Totally.

Well, it is bittersweet. He is great, really, had a huge crush on him a few years back, but I never got that vibe from him. LOL, he texted me later and was like 'sorry if I was too forward, I was thinking about it before and then we started drinking and...' LOL, I was like 'It was cool, no worries. :) '

Question is, where do you go from there?

Question is, where do you WANT it to go from there?

SDL- LOL, you are too funny.

DF- I am not sure...it really, truly just caught me off guard. I am so over the dating thing and I am just trying to focus on me until I get back from close to 20 days away at the end of the year. Thing about it is, we were planning on going to Bonaroo in June and are going to a concert next week...I just don't know. Its..just not expected.

Came home sick a little while ago. Blah.

I wouldn't worry about June just yet... But the concert next week could be interesting. Now that the seed has been planted give yourself time to figure out how you feel. You don't have to act on anything.

Now, scale of 1 to 10 how cute is he?

DF- I guess...I am just, well, still kind of taken back. LOL
OU- LOL, pretty much.

I've finally accepted the fact that the project I'm managing has gone to crap and that in order to meet next week's date, I'm not going to get to go home this weekend. I am not happy. Did I mention I'm in MISSISSIPPI and while it is lovely this time of year, it's not HOME.

Oh my...that sounds terrible (and costly too) ! I'm so glad you are recovering - I hate dental work, it makes me feel so poorly. You have my absolute sympathy and **dust** for super quick return to full health.

I feel pretty cool. BGD mentioned my blog on twitter and Facebook. My hits just skyrocketed!

good news: I received a $2,000 recognition award at work!

bad news: I left my wallet at home and my co-workers were off doing other things at lunch. *starving!*
