You can't see it, but it's 2:15 and I'm wearing my jealous face.

Its friday...which means it is the weekend...which means good times ahead with Mr. Fiance and friends.

I had a double apicoectomy yesterday and today I look like someone inflated my face. I'm going back to bed.......

DO NOT be jealous. This is the first day all week that I haven't been traveling and I'm in my home office. I was in PJs because I was working and hadn't had time to take a shower and get dressed!!

ETA: I am dressed now. But apparently I have no shame. I took the dog to the groomer and then went and picked him up IN MY PAJAMAS. In my defense, I did throw a bra and t shirt on over the PJ pants before I left the house.

April - home office, travel, pj's till two, puppers.... yep. Jealous.

Yeah, sounds glamourous, huh? But you wouldn't want my typical 60 hour work week with not enough salary and no bonus. There are some perks, but it ain't everything it looks like on paper. ;))

I should go take a pic of the puplet all groomed up. He is quite proud of himself.

Here's my proud boy.

My granny was a breeder for the longest and she had a lot of poodles and mixes and I loved when they had the underbite. Lhasas also have them a lot, the add character, at least that is what I think. LOL, my dog gets his lip stuck on his and he looks at you like you need to take him seriously, but who am I kidding? I melt.

April20, your doggie is ridiculously cute!!! I want to squish him!

I just want to say that I am so tired of watching my Chargers lose. Seriously! We have the best offense record and the best defense record and we are losing the division. UGH!! ;(

I'm sorry, I don't even know what that is. But it does sound painful - I hope you are doing better today.

I hope DF doesn't see this, or he will be asking for a WAYWN* sub forum to attract new male PS'ers.

(*What Are You Wearing Now) And you know he will want pic's.

Vent to begin in 3...2.....1

I have been planning a surprise 50th birthday Roast for my dad for the past 4 months. It was last night and was awesome, I got guys that he was in the military with 20+ years ago that he hasn't seen (thank god for Facebook) and had them write up things that I could read on their behalf. We had 24 people that showed up- not one of them were family. Let me back up a bit here, my mom passed away 2 years ago after a 10 year battle with cancer, so this was a big birthday for him- it has been a tough few years. I wanted to make sure that he was shown love and appreciation that he deserves. He is an incredible man and as crappy as his side of the family can be, selfish, judgmental, ect. he is always there for them if they need anything- drop of the hat- that is how it is. Family means a lot. Can you believe that out of all 24 people who had prepared things to say, all friends mind you, and of the 6 other speeches I read for those that couldn't make it- NOT ONE WAS FROM FAMILY? Not one from his brother, who he bails out of tough financial spots without question, from his sister, his mother or his father. I have been reminding and even sending some of the speeches I have gotten to give them ideas of things to write. I am just blown away, I was thinking how much I would be hurt if my family didn't even try to send something to say on such a milestone birthday.

Sorry, it may be an over reaction but I am just really upset for him. I know how that would make me feel, I just can't imagine what he might feel like.

Off my soapbox. Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm sorry, hun. That stinks that his family couldn't/wouldn't be there for him.

I saw Paranormal Activity 2 and it scared the bajeezus out of me.

That's too bad your dad's side of the family bailed on his special time. Sometimes family makes me want to wring their necks.

Princesss- Thanks lady. :)

Pack- Yeah, I am on to the throwing of heavy objects. LOL

What a thoughtful daughter you are, Renee. It sounds like you put so much thought and effort into planning the roast for your dad, and it's a shame that his other family members couldn't be there for him.

Agreed. I have similar stories to share about family too, and I know how much it hurts even though you do your best to shrug it off. But what is apparent is how wonderful a man your father, who also raised an equally wonderfully daughter. The best of nature and nuture coming together!

Wow SDL, mom was so young. *Big hugs*.
